Howdy mates, newbie here from Adelaide. Got my CJ LX 2012 just last year.

Few cheap mods done so far like VRX spoiler, rubber lip on front bumper, plastidip front grill, DRLs, Ralliart matt and latest one is the rear diffuser which was installed last week (bought from our fellow member).

Hi,
I’m from Adelaide and just bought a 2008 Ralliart CJ Lancer. I bought it at auction for a steal with 130,000k’s on the clock. I wasn’t able to inspect it before purchase but I’m hoping it’s all ok. It has a full service history, starts and drives but the exterior is a little rough around the edges. It arrives next week, so I’m crossing my fingers that it arrives all well and good with minimal problems if any.
I will update you all once it arrives and let you know if I found a bargain or a lemon!

Excellent work
They are a pretty reliable vehicle
Reasonable simple to work on
Loads of room for improvement if you wish

Hola! I'm just an old guy with a lancer who is interested in modding it for meets, Casual shows on the weekend and just enjoying my ride. Making it my own. You know.... 2016 lancer with the cvt transmission. Ok acceleration cold air intake, gt wing. That's it so far like I said just starting out. Any good tips and lancer clubs for weekend get togethers? All would be appreciated. Thanks. James.

If you have a 4b11 swap the header out for either a 4b12 or aftermarket unit
Before putting the replacement unit on , either wrap it exhaust wrap or use ceramic coating.
Go nuts under the bonnet with exhaust wrap around the radiator hoses. Use hold heat reflection tape around the air inlet and air box.
Swap the stock snorkel with a RA.
Have a read thru the forum and do the 4G69 throttle body conversion.
A full 2.25 inch exhaust system mandrel bent goes nicely as well

Hi all,
I found this forum because I just purchased a 2012, 5 speed, Lancer GTS with 66k on it. On the day of purchase, the service engine soon light came on. It's a P0420 code.
I found this sight because I was searching for reasons it would pop on even though it's not a high mileage vehicle. Some said it could be the old gas.
I look forward to being apart of this community and hope to glean and also offer advice in the future.

Thanks,

Daxis

Welcome. Put a couple of tanks of whatever your highest grade fuel is and you should be right.

Ah ha
The old P0420 trick
There is a few things that can cause it
Try a few tanks of BP98 as suggested by Lancerdarryl
The cleanings agent in it from memory was Benzene.
If that fails read this
