the sst transmission is one of the best out there and it can change gears faster than any manual, but there is a slight lag when taking of from the lights, while the computer shifts to 1st... this can be overcome by the whole brake/accelerator trick but its not good for your box much like dropping your clutch in a manual i spose....
But.... lancers are unreal, and i havn't looked back! well until offey started this insane RA group buy, now im thinking of upgrading year models!

Welcome to the club, hope you find the right model for yourself.
I currently own and love my aspire, the black finish inside the car looks sweet and has a different trim and the luxury fill of it gives me a smile everytime i jump into the car. well worth the price IMO compared to most other cars in the same range.
wont regret the buy. unless you can take it to the next level (Evo/RA).
ps. great to hear there might be another from SA =)

Tenjho how do you find the black with the in the summer , esp isnt the aspire stock with leather? would imagin it would get hot?
im thinking 2.4 cvt ( have a soft spot for paddles lol) unsure on colour , thinking a sunroof and rockford fostgate sound system ( unless i get a aspire which have mmc as stock i believe) thats what ive got so far , funny enough i allready know what mods are gonna happen lol

-lose the woodgrain replace with carbon fiber
-carbon fiber console inserts .
- chrisen the back seat *bow chikka wow wow*
-tint the windows
- if dosent have a rear vrx spoiler get one maybe a evo one lol.
Vrx
-replace trim with carbon fiber style
-christen back seat lol
-make the centre piece of the bumper matt black or gloss
- for both id like to put a boot over the gear knob like the evo lol
- the wicked metal fuel door the racer looking one
