Welcome, I own an 08 VR-X with almost 260k on the clock, *touch wood* so far so good, I'm the third owner of mine from the research I've done =)

Hahah damn! That’s impressive! It’s so awesome to see high usage lancers on here that still run no matter the minor tinks! Welcome aboard!

Robust is an understatement, I used it for pizza delivery in a rural area for 8 months (200kms a night wasn't unusual), carried over half a tonne multiple times (scrap metal not pizzas!), and been up roads that 4WD owners get nervous about. The air intake up high helps with creek crossings :-D

My 09 VRX has just 118k on it, which I thought was a lot. I've had it about 3 years now and its performed well.

Welcome to the club.

Had an Australian built Skyline 1988 model for 16 years and 260,000ks only things that went wrong other then tyres, battery etc: was a water pump and thingo!! that was used in place of universal joint. Hope to get the same out of my new little favorite toy, Lancer MY15 Sport!
Fortunately cant expect the same time frame and ks traveled.

Unless I live to be 100years old and still holding a drivers license!!!??!??

Australian built skylines from what i've researched where the RB30 powered R31 model, as the engine was also produced for the VL Holden, and like most Australian built engines lacked an extra camshaft... which is why the Skyline boys throw the RB25DET head on it, or RB26DETT head if they're super keen, to make it a twin cam 3 litre RB motor (with cooling issues), but it still pales in comparison to the J series Toyota motors.... *focus*
