Finally got my ralliart - Carl - Sunshine Coast

Postby r00tc4u53 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 4:55 pm

Decided on something different for a lease car, ordered back in May, arrived on Friday, MY15 model at least! First impressions after 3 days, not a fan of the transmission! suppose it's only a lease car and got it cheap... see how it goes after a while

What don't you like about the transmission? It does take some time to get used to it.. but you will then start to love it.

I picked up my MY15 RA on Saturday also. :) Love it. Big improvement over the MY09 RA I had.

Welcome and congrats Carl!

What were you driving previously?

Have a play with the transmission, I'm not a fan of auto mode, it slides into fuel miser mode to quickly.

Yippee Yi Yeah Thorsten!!!!!! *biggrin1*

Cheers for the welcomes, just don't like how the transmission can't really decide what it wants to be, an auto that can't make up it's mind about what gear it wants to be in and wanting to get into 6th at 60k's, manual mode is smoother, but no clutch means can't drive around the massive turbo lag off the line and the ergonomics of the shifter is annoying, will see how it goes, was ready to get rid of it on sunday after driving around town in auto mode.

Previous rides were a 82 cosmo 2 door hardtop with a 20B turbo, a heap of other mazda luces and cosmos and then a AWD TJ magna that I supercharged

you just need to learn where the sweet spots are in the RPM range.. around the 2500rpm is where it starts and 3000rpm it really pulls. :)

Just give it time.
