From AMC to ClubCJ..

Postby T-Bone75 » Wed Dec 05, 2012 7:49 pm

Hi all,
Well I'm a member of the Aussie Magna Club forum because I'd owned a TJ Sports Magna for 10 years until recently. I'd done quite a bit of work to it so I was sad to see it go but the Mrs wanted a new, more economical car. So we're the proud owners of a 2013 LX and I figured I'd best check out what existed in the way of forums for Lancers.. and here I am. (Nice job, BTW).
So far loving the car although not sold on the CVT transmission.. what's the general consensus on them?

Cheers,
Travis.

I love my CVT. Great economy and easy to drive.

Use the paddles around the hills and it is a different car. So much fun!

You just have to be careful around cows as it has been known to attract them. (mooo)

I had a TJ Magna prior to my CJ aswell, such a good looking car- a lot of potential. Welcome to the club, mate!

Welcome to Club CJ Travis!

Personally I drive a manual Lancer and I love it, haven't driven a CVT Lancer as yet, but I just prefer changing gears myself and have never even looked at buying a automatic car!

I have always had more fun buying a manual car over an automatic car, however this is based on personal opinions as some people will tell you they prefer the CVT transmission over the manual!

Sold the Pulsar, Bought a 98 CE MR lancer, sold that and bought a 97 CE MR Lancer
Sold my Volvo 850r Turbo Wagon
Still haven't bought a CJ :D
