Re: VIC - Spotted Thread

Spotted a blue Sportback on the Eastern Fwy this evening, heading outbound. Rego started with 'XDE' or 'XED'.

Re: Vic meet up end of April 2018

Thanks for organising things, Mooman. It's good to put faces to names and to talk as long as we did over so many topics.

Hopefully the next time someone kicks off a meet, there will be more people present.

Re: Vic meet up end of April 2018

That's a better time for most people, I think. I'll do my best to get there. As an aside, do you have an agenda for the meet? Are there specific things you want to discuss? It's all well and good to want to grow the club again, but there needs to be some sort of direction (and a person to drive it)....

Put me down as a "maybe". 09:00 on a Sunday is too damned early.

$89 for a leather bucket seat? That can't be right.

Seriously tempting, as leather seats are so damned comfortable.

Yep, plenty of CJs around there, including a very sweet white RA Sportback I've seen at the Lynbrook shops a couple of times.

Re: CVT is sh*t

Plus with an auto you can change 'gears' mid corner and not have the worry of coordinating arms and legs and just concentrate on taking the turn, and with hills if you get it wrong there is no risk of 'bogging down' when you have to down shift all in all fool proof. Just to play "Devil's Advoc...

Re: 1974 GSR Lancer

Also couldn't help but notice the Gundam behind the trees in the background of the example picture! That's the Gundam Cafe in Odaiba, Tokyo - the only "full size" Gundam statue in existence. If you want to see if, better get your skates on - they're taking it down from March 5th. (Yes, it...

Re: Factory look DRLs for VRX with Fog Lights

Long time between posts, but finally installed the DRLs today. The don't look too bad at all, especially with the chrome repainted with satin black.

In anyone's interested, I ran the white (LED brightness control) wire into the fusebox and tapped it into one of the headlight fuses.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed

Looking at the two pictures, I'd go for a matte-black wrap / paint just to contrast with the gloss black of the car.

Nothing wrong with the CF pattern, just think black would look better.

Re: OEM "DEPO" Style HID Headlamps

The lights are installed, along with the levelling switch and everything. I have two questions: 1) Where do the 2 * 20A fuses supplied as part of the kit go? I've looked through the service manuals, the owner's manual and can't find any reference to where they might go. (There were already 2* 20A fu...

Re: RA vs NA?

Thanks for all the replies, folks. It's good to see that I'm not the only one in this situation of (relatively) poor economy around town.

Again, sorry for the hijack, so now back to the RA vs NA discussion. :-)

How on earth do you manage that? Around town my NA CJ gets maybe 500km...
