Oil - generally you get what you pay for. Semi-syn would be nice, full syn if you're made of money (I don't think it's necessary in a N/A but having said that I have always used full synthetic oil in all my cars ever). In terms of brands... that's up for personal opinion. I tend to stick with OEM fi...

I hadn't heard of Hay before today - therefore it must be an exclusive resort style town only the upper echelons of society are used to. I must insist that the CCJ national meet be held there.

It's probably better to have it serviced by a licensed mechanic (if dealer pricing scares you), but failing that, if you're doing the work yourself just use OEM fluids and keep receipts for warranty preservation. I personally have had experience of Mitsubishi honouring warranty when about half of my...

Transfer case req about a litre. Rear diff probably 600mls or so, I cant remember but it is quite small volume.

Yes, extremely well suited. 4 litres will last you eight changes (assuming you're doing rear diff only) which is 240,000kms.

I'm a little hesitant heading to Nowra... the reason for the Goulburn meet location was to reduce the driving time/distances. I'd have driven 8 hours during the course of my workday. Plus 2.5 hrs down to Goulburn, plus 2 hrs to Nowra, plus 2.5hrs back home. I'm gunna need more amphetamines to keep m...

IMO anything that changes the apperance of your car without a corresponding improvement in performance is 'rice'. 'Rice' arguably originally stood for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. My personal opinion is that many members on these forums, post author inclusive, prescribe to this form of modif...

Your multi function display will flash an orange triangle warning light if the timing chain is stretched beyond the ECU and chain tensioners limits can handle. Rough idle could be due to a variety of issues - vac line leak, spark plugs fouled, coil pack gone, bad batch of fuel, water in the fuel, di...

He did mention elsewhere he spotted a red Ralliart not unlike mine. :)

$17k as a trade, $21k private.

I know as Mitsubishi owners we all want to think optimistically, but I think most of the posts above are a little too optimistic.

Magnetic Pro is what dealers use, it's a full synthetic oil.

It is not the same as consumer 'magnetic' available from Supercheap, et al.
