lol Jordan Like, I know E85 gives you better response and power when using it, but how come it has the ability to do that compared to 98RON or unleaded in general? Does it have something to do with better combustion? Basically E85 has a higher knock/detonation resistance so therefore you can advance...

E85 is awesome. I have just done a tour using tephramod dual maps and as long as you can judge your fuel consumption accurately everything runs sweet. Going back to the 98RON tune is better for long distance but you do really miss the throttle response and torque with E85.

Mine is fairly modded and is reliable and runs 12.8 sec quarter mile consistently. You just have to make sure you have a good gearbox and keep the maintenance up. There's quite a few good ones that I have seen. Fantastic through the mountains.

That's true that safety is paramount when working on your car or any heavy machinery. However I have had shoddy work on my car done by qualified mechanics before. Sometimes they are too busy, sometimes they don't care. If they are running out of time they will take short cuts. Also they see a lot of...

Mitsubishi told me roadside assistance was separate to warranty. I had RACQ come out for free when my battery died and I couldn't unlock the car because the battery was dead flat. I have a smart key FYI.

I am going to vote for self service. Because in reality it's not really hard and you can save a good amount of money. Generally I use OEM parts but honestly if you're going to stick to the service interval in the manual it doesn't really matter what brand filter or oil etc. you use as long it's the ...

Also, in addition to my post above. If you want heated seats, check if you actually have the wiring for it. My 2008/09 ES doesnt have the wiring for it yet newer models do (some cars come pre-equipped with wiring suited for certain applications so all you need is to hook them up etc etc) so it will...

changing the fluid in the SST is probably not that difficult if your handy enough. You will want to change the external filter too.

Changing the internal filter is a good idea, but is hard.

There's a few threads on the US forums on how to do it

I was covered under warranty thankfully, my new gearbox has been trouble free so far.

I would probably suggest getting the fluid changed. Unfortunately you are probably out of warranty now being an 08

Any of you guys running the Super Sport flash? After I did mine I noticed it would not change into 6th gear at 60km's anymore in auto mode. If I change it manually it sort of grinds, so I drive in 5th gear at 60km now. I'm suspecting that's what killed the early model SST's in RA's. Any how a fluid ...
