Potentially damaged wheelbearing?
Hey all, So I've started having this strange issue with my Vrx. Occasionally, when I get the car onto the highway and can do 100+ km/h for a sustained period of time (probably a good 10 or 15 minutes) I start hearing a circular, rhythmic whistling sound that appears to come from I think the front ri...

Re: Anyone know what this is?
That's it, I've beaten the rust into submission and now it doesn't spread for fear of being shackled once more.

Re: Anyone know what this is?
My car had the exact same thing on it when I bought it, except it appeared to be broken/dead, it didn't do anything when I pressed that little button. Just removed it the other day and now theres just a patch of glue or whatever the hell they used to stick it on :S

Re: Hardwire & Rear Dash Camera?
Typically devices like these have whats called an RTC (Real-Time Clock) on-board which uses a small battery to power a crystal that keeps track of time even when the main power is off

Re: Hardwire Dash Camera?
Are you planning on getting one without the lcd screen for the rear? I personally prefer them not to have the screen, and especially on a rear one whats the point of it haha

Re: New member from Perth, WA
It's difficulty level is really going to depend on your previous experience with that sort of thing. Conceptually, it's simple and just takes a bit of time. But if you're not familiar with soldering or don't have the right crimps available, it can be a bit of a learning curve. If you don't have a so...

Re: New member from Perth, WA
Haven't posted anything on here despite lots and lots of changes to the car, finally had some time to give it a very long overdue wash so I decided to take some more current pics :) Unfortunately Sony phones tend to wash out red colours something awful :( http://i.imgur.com/LZl2wxu.jpg http://i.imgu...

Re: ClubCJ's Future and Potential
I think Bumblebee means legal rules and regulations, not the clubs ones. He's saying if the forum is an official, legal club then due process must be followed in regards to an election, etc. It seems unlikely to me that this is the actual case given that the majority of the members are not paying me...

Re: Hardwire Dash Camera?
Yeah, worth mentioning I don't have mine setup to record when the car is off or anything, mine runs only on accessory power (hence why cigarette lighter is used, which also has the added benefit of being fused, which is definitely what you will want to do if you're running it directly from the batte...

I don't think anyone here would want to get rid of you aspir3 we need new people, but that doesn't mean we should get rid of those who have been around for ages and are still active

Re: Hardwire Dash Camera?
Yep, what aKaotic suggest is the best way. I have mine hardwired, sits just behind the front rear-view mirror, pretty well tucked away. I used one of these , which is easy to setup, I tapped mine into the cigarette lighter below the climate controls, then up to the driver-side A pillar, as I also us...

Re: ClubCJ's Future and Potential
I agree with aspir3, I think another election of sorts would be a great idea, there's many new people here who didn't participate in the last once, and with aspir3 being the only active moderator, all the new people don't have much interaction with members of the admin team. I also agree with valkyr...

Re: WTB Full size spare tyre kit
I've been thinking of making a raised boot floor to accommodate the full size spare, but having some hinged-lid areas where I can put some of the tools I tend to have in my car at all times. Would probably make up a new floor rather than use the stock one, would have to have a proper look and see wh...

Re: Replacing the centre wheel cap in OEM wheels?
Yep, these are notorious for getting scratched and faded and then they look rubbish. I thought about buying some off ebay but I ended up going a different route and painted my wheels instead haha.

Re: Interior trim clips
Huh, they are too. Nice, I couldn't find them anywhere searching with "Mitsubishi Clip" or anything like that. I'll definitely order some of these. Hopefully they are a little stronger and less prone to breaking than the default ones. If so, I might replace a whole bunch, as the shitty whi...
