You need a multimeter/12 volt tester to identify the live cable.

For the ebay lights, red = brake light - green = tail light - black = common negative ..... prove by using a 12 volt source via a fuse.

why is it important who the seller is? these were a one off sale by a seller called HIDLIGHTS. he only had two sets of these for sale and no has none. knowing who the seller is doesnt fix the problem does it.? its a case of what can I do about the wiring? So .. you need to identify which wire goes ...
