Re: VRX being wrecked at Jollys' U Pull it Dandenong 25/8/17

I know I should just leave this behind but to clear up any confusion anyone may have about the brakes here is some more evidence taken from the Mitsubishi service manual. http://i.imgur.com/bhzhQSml.gif http://i.imgur.com/grlxza3l.gif Please note that for both the 15 and 16 inch disc the brake is li...

Re: Melbourne CJ lancer meet?

The problem with organizing any meets on this forum is they are bound by a set of rules. See http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=57 They need approval from a state administrator or moderator before being posted, which is a problem as far as I can tell Victoria has no administrator or moderato...

Re: VRX being wrecked at Jollys' U Pull it Dandenong 25/8/17

I agree it makes sense that there should be a larger piston in the front calipers to go with the larger rear calipers in order to maintain correct braking bias, but it still doesn't deny the fact it is possible to use the larger rotors easily with ES calipers (especially if rears are kept to maintai...

Re: VRX being wrecked at Jollys' U Pull it Dandenong 25/8/17

Moonman the breaks are different between the 2.ol and 2.4l. I know and am 100% certain. I have measured piston between them. Please don't give members false advice. Just to be clear here I agree that the rear calipers are different, but the fronts are same between an ES and VRX. Looking up mitsubis...

Re: VRX being wrecked at Jollys' U Pull it Dandenong 25/8/17

Centre storage bin sounds good What kind of price so they have on it? Not 100% sure as it depends on day what the person at register puts it in at but I suspect it would be console lid $16 going off pricelist. Only issue it's a DIY wrecker so you'd need someone in Vic to pull it out and ship, Norma...

VRX being wrecked at Jollys' U Pull it Dandenong 25/8/17

A heads up to anyone in Victoria who wants some VRX upgrades. Jollys' U Pull it in Dandenong has a 2010 VRX, a rare opportunity to get some upgraded parts. http://www.jollysupullit.com.au/eziparts/Display_Vehicle.asp?PriceListID=0&VehicleID=530672&Location=jollysupullitcomau&VehicleDesc=...

Re: ClubCJ's Future and Potential

Not to sound like a downer, problem with Club CJ is it is a single model club, not a generic Lancer or Mitsubishi club. Since the CJ (Aus model naming) has been out for around ten years now and has more or less finished its run interest will naturally subside. Early owners have probably done all the...

Re: New member, with query about Year/ Model of CJ Lancer

Which state are you in jjb? I posted up for sale an exhaust in May that got no interest. http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19301 I'm not 100% sure I want to sell now, but if your in Victoria I could be tempted. Problem is it cost about $500 to ship in from USA so minus wear and tear the cost...

Re: New member, with query about Year/ Model of CJ Lancer

Normally model year doesn't coincide with build year, next years models usually come out mid year before. Eg. (dates not exact) MY12 can be built from July 2011 until June 2012. From photo it looks like a >MY12 and the linked muffler should fit. Some food for thought, do you have a CVT? If so i'd su...

Re: New member, with query about Year/ Model of CJ Lancer

You are right about the exhaust for MY12, it is a smaller oval unit on drivers side. Also some other changes to MY12 are no rear swaybar, under bonnet are only two bolt points for fenders whereas earlier had four (front points removed which affects mounting of some aftermarket gas struts), crankcase...

Re: Rough Idle After Service

Just a theory but one that could be easily checked. You have the Ralliart snorkel? The original has the holes in the bottom which would allow for warmer air from the engine bay to mix with air from outside. This would mean that the air at the MAF sensor would be slightly higher for any given flow th...

Re: Selling 18mm OEM rear swaybar and lower control arms.

That's awesome and glad to have played my part :) . For some reason down here in Vic old Lancers very rarely show up at the wreckers, but when they do any pre MY12 (Or any VRX/GSR spec) cars the rear swaybar is by far the best parts to grab (Usually the only good parts too). Hopefully the word gets ...

Re: Selling 18mm OEM rear swaybar and lower control arms.

Good to hear it arrived.

Here's a pic from my car, holes should be there already drilled and threaded (Unless Mitsubishi finally changed it...), other side is about same place behind muffler.
