You could try sending a letter of appeal in... if you have a good record you may get a warning.

If that fails cough up the fine and take it on the chin.

I wouldn't bother fighting in court.

Some times it is better to go without rather than pretend

They are crappy, cheap plastic that once you install actually stop your calipers etc cooling properly... Also they look silly when you don't have discs that are in proportion to the calipers.

Just paint your OEM calipers

I have DBA4000s, and there is a slight lip after the pads doing about 40,000kms... Would react differently to an OEM disc I would suspect, as they would probably be softer...
