Costs of the SST change are ok it you do it yourself (not much more complicated than a standard oil change). Filter for $45 and Ford branded Diaqueen (same as Mits use) is only $38/ltr (need 6.75 ltrs roughly)

Re the SST - Smooth changes up through the gears in normal and sport modes (going into a freeway or 100kph rds should give you enough room to check). Switch to manual if you are comfortable and do the same using paddles and the gearstick, again looking for smooth quick changes with no surge in rpm a...

Hi. Stupid question first - you've checked tyre pressures (32 psi is a good target for oem wheels). Is the vibration speed or engine rpm dependent? Easiest way to tell is get to 100 kph, put cruise control on and drop it down a gear to see if the vibration changes/disappears or not. If it is speed d...

Something electric possibly. A bottom of the range Tesla is on the extended wish list.
Or an A45 merc or Audi S3 for something with a bit of poke from the petrol world

Removed orange paint from the front of the car and used it as an excuse to paint my IC black

Also made a boost tester for $6 and found a couple of minor leaks in my boost system - all good now :D

Personally don't think the down pipe ads anything to the equation. The main restriction for our OEM exhausts is the cat. Also, there is f all difference between 100 & 200 CEL cats performance wise. I got the Depo racing one as it was a good price delivered. Definitely made a difference with...

Elliot - would you try just the HFC with stock muffler? Just changing the cat gives you more (tunable) power and also deepens the exhaust note a little. Could be a good place to start whilst you look?

Ryco filterss from Super Cheap are fine as long as you stick to the service intervals. You can get a decent after market panel filter such as K&N for that money, or again a Ryco one. I would also just go for a reasonable brand coolant and power steering fluid.
