Re: NA CJ Lancer Servicing Complete Thread

I 2nd what lancerdarryl stated about Castrol 5W-30. It's definitely been the most popular choice of the Synthetic Oils. Your mechanics statement about clocking approx 5000kms before switching to Full Synthetic is a wise & correct suggestion. New engines "Break-In" better on Mineral Oils.

@COO86L
If all you want is a Definition File on your particular car, then simply contact Merlin and ask him.
I'm sure he will email it to you since you've already had it tuned by him.

Re: topspeed pro1 short throw shifter

Some of you guys considering a "Short Shifter" mod are quite concerned about quality & safety. I couldn't agree more strongly, yet some of you still insist on a cheap price *doh* You simply cant have both and expect everything to stay "Fail Safe" *nono* The other thing to con...

Re: Fuel Cap Tight

@ Lancer1993 That Alloy Fuel Lid you purchased should be perfectly OK to fit :D Most other members who have purchased them in the past have been similar copies of the Mitsu OEM version, and no one I know of has had any fitment issues, me included. Tip: The kit will/should contain a large O-Ring Seal...

@COO86L You can become a Premium Member if you prefer, to get stickers etc, just PM contact JustinR or Kav91 It's very nice of you to suggest: (so that the members that helped compile these get paid etc for their hard work). However, this is NOT the case, those members originally involved (me includ...

Re: Fog Lamps with angels eyes DRLs

@ Mooman & Skrallex You guys are absolutely correct in assuming that this Auto ON/OFF Light Sensor may be a nuisance. I did notice before I purchased & realise I don't really want that feature. Simply not using the Light Sensor (by hiding it somewhere :roll:) will only trigger it to operate ...

Re: Fog Lamps with angels eyes DRLs

I'm curious as to how the High/Low works on those foggies, I assume they are just controlled with normal head-light high/low beam, which is interesting. Modes : 1. DRL Mode: Turned on by ACC >> High Beam and Low Beam = OFF. 2. Low Beam Mode: Low Beam ON >> DRL and High Beam = OFF. 3. High Beam Mode...

@ andrew.costa
Read this article I posted in Dec 2009
It's a "Nite Shades" spray-on alternative to change the look, if that appeals to you.
