Re: How common are ralli art problems, mainly transmission?

Sounds like with normal everyday use and 40,000k oil changes there wont be any problem.
Fitting an EVO cooler and best quality oil should make it bullet proof!!

Re: Finally, I'm a Lancer owner!

The Ralliart intake snorkle should be your first performance mod. There are some very good threads here on intake mods, specifically on the woeful little intake grill affair. The stock paper filter is ok, a Cosworth filter is the gun mod or the TOG filter. The stock CAT is rubbish, a 200 cell unit ...

Re: Finally, I'm a Lancer owner!

Cheers Merlin! I'll look at replacing the panel filter. TOG is available on eBay but seems Cosworth bits are hard to find here. Any suggested retailers? I'm in Sydney. I'm looking for the snorkel. I guess that'll just be a 'right place, right time' kinda thing. I doubt I'd want to pay Mitsubishi br...

Re: Finally, I'm a Lancer owner!

Power gain on its own, would be subjective (Merlin thinks so) But necessary if other performance mods are considered for easier breathing. For me, noticeable benefits were change from an annoying wishy sound to elimination and then a magic note on brisk acceleration, plus smoother take off and accel...

Re: Hi All!

Welcome cardevil. Cheers, looks like another active member. As suggested above there's heaps of info: here. Just one for starters. If it hasn't already been done, stick in a RA inlet snorkel, $175 new, straight swap and well worthwhile. photo of mine below. many other approaches are available. http:...

Happy the way it is. also button on the key is a great extra.
Why clutter up the dash any more, with something that is already available and just as convenient :D

Re: Help with Wireless Reverse Camera Receiver

You would or should have the cover in the boot off. turn on the engine, engage reverse, turn off the engine, then turn the switch to the on position, make sure the engine isn't running for safety sake. Walk around the back and check the wires coming from the light that is turned on. PS Without check...

[quote="Lancer1993"]I've got my RA snorkel on top of the plastic and it works fine, although I can't get the 2nd plastic tab thing in, but its not like its gonna go anyplace, especially with the bonnet closed.

All you need is a longer clip! :)

Re: New Lancer, new to the club

RA snorkel $175 new, makes a marked difference. Better sound, smoother operation, needs cut out on front panel to help breathing.
Lots of forums on this but here's a photo of how I did mine. Strut bar is a Whiteline.
