Re: CH Wagon Trailer?
the problem you will find is the Lancer has a maximum tow ball weight of 100kg, which is not very much! with a normal trailer most of the weight is balanced on the axle, that's why you can grab them and pull them around. there will be a lot of weight on the front overhang of the Lancer wagon!

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster
unfortunately no, I believe you can only set it if it's under a certain number of kms, or blank. It won't allow you to change the VIN either, though it may be because it's a used cluster. or it could be because mine is an early (2008) CJ, whereas the cluster is out of a 2012 model. I know Fords only...

dopey also has a MUT III... is there more we need to know about you dopey? a side from your tech wizardry, and awesomness for that dash surround  (sorry I wasn't more accommodating, will have to organise another members and families catchup when this weather gets a bit nicer). Indeed I do :lol...

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster
I really don't think a dealer would notice, it only shows up when you do meter diagnostics and they probably won't go there unless there is a problem with the cluster.
It just bugs me that there is an error logged.

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster
after a few months of assuming the dash cluster was functioning normally I plugged in a MUT III to adjust the service reminder and guess what, it came up with an active DTC odometer error! I couldn't clear it so it looks like I'll have to unsolder the chip again and check out what's going on. I did ...

Re: WTB MMCS Dash surround **SOLVED**
Everything just lined up perfectly yesterday, I had planed to head over to Eagle motors to pick up a tow bar tongue, but when I called they said there was no one at the warehouse on Saturdays so it would have to be Friday. As luck would have it that was just around the corner from Quismiff!

Re: tow bar compatibility
Thank you lancerdarryl! I'll go back and have a look. I couldn't see any additional wiring it all seemed to plug into the harness with the exception of the red wire. there was another thread that mentioned differences in the wiring for cars up to 2011 and from 2011 onwards. this is a 2011 loom going...

tow bar compatibility
hey all, is the sportback tow bar the same as the sedan? I know the kits have different part numbers but is the actual tow bar the same? There is a sportback with a tow bar with part number MR936608, which looks like it will bolt up to a sedan. also according to these fitting instructions there is a...

Re: Tow bar wiring
Which is annoying as I've see other new small cars with them, Corolla, i30, Golf just to name a few. The i30 one looked factory with a Hyundai logo on the plate you put in the square hole when not using the tow hitch. the Lancer's maximum towing capacity is 1000kg vs the i30 which can tow 1300kg so...

Re: Tow bar wiring
Dumb question but is there a tow kit for the RA (sedan or sportback) also had anyone found a tow bar option with a square mount for quicker removal and not just the flat one with 2 bolts? you won't get one for the lancer, the square hitch is used for heavy duty towing and allows for the fitting of ...

Re: Tow bar wiring
hey all, does anyone know if the actual tow bar is the same between sedans and hatches? I know the kits have different part numbers, but there is a hatch at the wreckers with a tow bar with a part number MR936608 which looks like it will bolt up to a sedan. Also what does the front wiring do, the bi...

Re: Manual to automatic climate control
The sensor on the windscreen is the rain light sensor and is only used to auto turn on headlights and for the wiper speed. The sensor that is fitted on the centre of the dash part number 7825A003 is the sunload sensor. I have two cars with the Rain light sensor and auto climate control. One car is ...
