would probably be a little more help if we had audio of the problem.
can you replicate it whilst stationary, engine warm\cold?

any check engine lights? bad fuel economy or performance ? does the car have any modifications to engine or exhaust?

go to a mitsu parts department and get the power steering fluid should be red in color. Just top it up. you can supposedly use ATF DEXRON III or II but the service manual then says not to use ATF III somewhere else. go figure. it is supposed to be a sealed & self bleeding system. For proper flui...

there is a access hatch under the rear seat. the entire pump+filter+gauge etc all in one assembly creates a seal on that hatch.

i should do a write up guide as im not sure if there is one on here with pictures.

your service book indicates the rough vehicle weight depending on model and options fitted.

you will need to add fuel which is 0.7kg per Liter and each occupant.

also. air can become trapped in the ABS unit as well. this is possible if the master cylinder has been replaced.

you may want to ask if Mitsubishi have a special bleed method for their ABS units. on some vehicles they require a diagnostic tool to properly cycle them.

the vents are designed to remove hot air from the engine bay and the small scoop is to add air over the turbo and exhaust manifold. which can get mighty hot under stress. cover them up and you should notice a difference in temperatures and potential performance drop as there would be a constant heat...
