Welcome Scott I got lucky and an AUX plug was fitted to the back of my radio and passed through to the glove box. I then re-routed it to the centre console. I then moved my AWC button to where the traction control button is, and put the standard lancer holder in the hole. I drilled a hole in it (it'...

Changing SST fluid is one thing, flushing and changing is another. The fluid is super expensive and flushing essentially requires twice the volume. Dealer 5 gets my money!

Yeah, but testing it by doing fast U-Turns is more fun than reading about it :)

That's a good video, but it's not the setting we are talking about. Ralliart only has 'On' and 'Off-Off', btw. The AWC is All Wheel Control (from the Evo 9 in a Ralliart, I believe). The video is showing the ASC - Active Stability Control. The Evo X also has AYC - Acitve Yaw Control. In the Video, s...

It has to do with how quickly the centre diff locks up. It locks up fastest in Tarmac and slowest in Snow. Easiest way to feel the difference is on a damp (closed) road, try a U-Turn with enough power to break traction. Using Tarmac, the car will get about 130 degrees around and you will feel the di...

I can also see why the airbag didn't deploy - not a hard enough hit. I've seen worse damage and bags not go off when 2 big 4x4s collided. Shame, because airbags are VERY expensive to replace...

Looking for a good suspension place - Eastern burbs of Melb

I'm looking for a good suspension place in the Eastern or South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, preferably not Pedders. Most places I talk to don't want to touch adjustable coilovers and Pedders charge like wounded bulls (isn't that their logo?) because they have no competition.

Welcome Merlin - I loved the tuning guide and wanted to say thanks. I'm impressed that so much tuning knowledge comes out of Australia - we must all think stock cars go too slow!

The OEM oil must be awesome - it's designed to last 100,000kms! If you leave your RA/Evo stock, then the OEM fluid should be fine and go the distance. BUT, I haven't seen many stay stock for long... A simple drop-in filter adds a few extra KW's that the SST was not programmed for. I expect that we a...

The problem is convincing your Mitsy service guy to actually change the fluid - it's not in the service manual, so they don't want to do it.

Music is off and I have to reach over a steering wheel to type this. Drove my RA today for the first time in a while and I know why I like GT5 so much: no speed limits, no police and no need to search for 98 octane every 3 hours of driving.

Wheels, tyres, brake pads, brake fluid... just the beginning of the mods this club will have you doing. Before you know it, you're chasing a 12sec 1/4 mile with a new exhaust, intercooler, turbo, tune, antenna, mirrors, boot spoiler... If only someone had warned me at the beginning. Speaking of tune...
