Re: 2016 ES Sport Compatibility help

What year VR-X were you looking at getting? Mine is an MY08 there was an update around MY12 and another on the CF Lancers. Might help people answer your questions, most CJ Lancer parts despite year are interchangeable.

Re: What did you do on your car today?

When I got my car back from the workshop, after the sauce jars were dropped on it, and the bonnet was resprayed, the LHS washer nozzle has since popped out as the paint is so thick, and the weather strips along the roof the little end caps are broken and loose in there at each end and half the clip...

Re: Have you ever lost a brake pad?

I bought those pads just before reading your post. You basically recommended me something I just bought  You can get pretty much any part for a decent price from Germany. I really like AutoDoc. They can be as much as 50% cheaper than regular automotive stores in the Netherlands. They also sell...

Re: Have you ever lost a brake pad?

If the reseller isn't selling them there could be a reason for it, how long ago did you purchase them? Sometimes when left in an unfavourable environment (damp, cold, or rapid temperature cycles) they can have issues, and after heating up a few times the glue degrades rapidly and it spits out the f...

Re: Have you ever lost a brake pad?

OP is in the Netherlands so Australian product sites aren't going to help them, but they should have the same avenues for reporting faults. And the market is flooded with all sorts of copies no matter where in the world you are (ebay, aliexpress etc) you definitely get what you pay for, and sometim...

Re: Have you ever lost a brake pad?

First time I've come across it, in cars, get it all the time in Trucks, but that is usually caused by pad de-lamination as you mentioned. the bonding of the friction material to the backing plate isn't quite up to scratch. You will now have to get a bit replaced back there (rotor, caliper, carrier)...

Re: What DONT you like about your Lancer?

The spoiler comes in super handy at night if you line the car behind you up just right it blocks their headlights  To answer HP_Larock CVT was never meant for high performance, early versions on the Nissans would lock in at 4.5k and just bolt to 100kph and then cruise at a god awfully low rpm ...
