Very persistent dealer :) Kudos to them for trying to make money. It's really not worth doing the intermediate service unless your car is driven really hard (i.e. towing or long distance driving). As your car has done 10,000km (assuming it isn't driven hard), it shouldn't really be a problem. I'd ju...

Topic: Question. Is wheel alignment included in the dealer service?

It all depends on whether the dealership has an alignment machine. And if they do, how much they want to make out of their machine. Most dealers who do not have a machine will sub out the jobs to tyre joints like Bob Jane or Jax or some place like that (whichever is closest), get charged cost price,...

They still sell them at $169 per tyre at Bob Janes :) I think it's reasonably priced.

I'm pretty sure this topic has been covered comprehensively before.

So as for me not to type it out again, for some topics of which I've posted my opinions in the past - search Bridgestone ER300 :)

Hope that helps.

Ok. So dealers do try to sell things - and because most dealers don't machine brakes, they would prefer that you didn't know a thing, trust them, and then change the brake pads and rotors together, of which they make more money :) Everyone has to make their bread and butter somehow. They porobably s...

John and Bobby,

Do not fear. Not all of our cars have the undertray. My ES never came with an undertray. From day 1. I have a 09 model ES. Perhaps they have now put undertrays on all, but from my memory, I used to only see them on higher models.

Correct me if I'm wrong here mechanics... I believe that you have got a wheel balancing issue (scalloping on your tyres) rather than brake shudder. Brake shudder is felt through the brake pedal when braking. Steering wheel shudder is felt because of the wheels not being balanced properly, hence high...

Actually, it's more industry practice now Rob to change over discs rather than machining them. It's cheaper, quicker and has less risk (risk being customers complaining about vibrations because it wasn't machined well :) ). I have recently also come across a franchise called ABS Brakes. They do brak...

What sort of vibration are we talking about? Is it a vibration through the steering wheel? Or through the brake pedal?
