Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread
As much as I dislike them I wonder if an IVC throttle controller would help. We have had a couple of successful fixes getting rid of throttle lag in ASX Mitsubishis.Usually it’s the other way round we disconnect them to get rid of the issues they cause.

Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread
Curiosity question. Are you flat shifting or shifting normally ie lifting off the accelerator when disengaging the clutch?

Re: Rust Protection
Lot of hard work there to protect your car. It is in way better condition than a lot of other cars from that area

Re: Help needed!: ASC "Service Required" Error
ECU fix in Melbourne were the ones you’re looking for but they seem to have disappeared. The next best option is COOLDRIVE,last time I had one done with them it was around $1000.Takes a week to get it done and the labour to R&R the unit and bleed the brakes should only be 1 hour

Re: Ralliart bonnet
Had a look at my Evo today and all I can suggest is that it’s due to the amount of rain you’ve had in Sydney.I get after on my engine in the rain but not enough to worry it.

Re: Power Steering Fault
Sounds like you have a serious electrical issue.Find a mechanic and have them look at it. You can’t diagnose these sorts of problems over the keyboard.
The only thing I can think of without looking at the car is maybe an issue with the serpentine belt slipping due to an idler pulley seizing.

Re: Ralliart bonnet
What about the two smaller vents towards the front of the bonnet,do they have the blanking plates still fitted?

Re: 07 to 09 lancer trims with security alarms
I was reasonably sure the VRX didn’t have one but I thought the Aspire being the high end model may have had one.The factory immobiliser is going to foil your average thief.
