First of all 4B11 can't make 300whp with only 11 psi of boost as claimed. Could be somehow possible with very aggressive cams and 8500 rpm, but still will be on the limit. Yeap, cluster is not needed. Also you don't need complete engine harness, only half of it. There are 2 connectors on the ECU, you need to replace only one of these harnesses which is going to the CVT.

ECU swapping is not that simple, I suppose that only ROM rewrite will be enough.

Engines are the same and the conversion can be done. A fellow Russian done it and if wondering what is the benefit - turbo charging.
