Re: Tapping into turn lights for DRL
@Lancer1993 My previous DRL controller did the same thing (dimming). This new one I bought does not. I miss the fact it does not dim - although I believe it is more legal that it does switch off. Re: Turn signal cable. I'm pretty sure it switches on when car is unlocked. Would be good to get that fe...

Re: Tapping into turn lights for DRL
Hey Bumblebee, Thanks for your suggestion but my setup is a little different, I don't have any switches to turn the lights on. Everything is automatic. * I've tapped the red cable into the ACC, so it automatically comes on when I start the car * I've tapped the white cable to the headlights so it au...

Tapping into turn lights for DRL
Hi Guys, TLDR; ⋅ Has anyone tapped into the turn signals? ⋅ By what method did you tap into the turn signals? LONG I've got a pair of DRLs connected to a DRL controller similar to the one below: https://imgur.com/a/cLIotmq https://i.imgur.com/rbz7MHc.jpg I've got all the cables...

Re: What did you do on your car today?
All good man, wasn't dissing. And yes, the hack method does involve destroying the old speakers. Which you may or may not want to do.

Re: What did you do on your car today?
@Lancer1993 I did it with this method (pliers and solder): https://youtu.be/eeHb3qnjFQY?t=108 No need to buy *any* adapters. Edit: Actually, I improved on his method by not cutting the adapter. Just solder about 5-10cm of speaker cables from new speaker to the speaker frame. So the speaker plug from...

Haven't tried the Repco ones, so not sure if it's quality or environmental

Re: Replacement Wiper Blades
I've also got the Bosch areotwin. Has the euro look over the stock wipers. Not sure if I got them from sparesbox, but I've got other stuff from them before. I've never had any issues with them: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bosch-Aerotwin-Wiper-Blades-Set-BBA600-BBA450/162956656978 The set like you sa...

Re: VRX wheels on an ES Lancer
Yeahp. Pretty happy with 4 really good condition wheels for $170.
Really enjoying the extra grip around corners. Higher stability. And maybe take-off has improved too.

Re: VRX wheels on an ES Lancer
I'm finally on 18s. The difference the 18s (plus the strut bar) make on the ride is night and day. Love it. Can't help grinning from ear to ear.
Local tyre shop had an immaculate used set for $170. He said it came off a 2015 Lancer.

Re: Interior Front Reading Lights
I've figured out how to remove the Interior Dome Light connector. https://imgur.com/a/6C8OBeQ You need: * A Dashboard trim removal tool (DTRT) * 2mm/3mm wide flat head screw driver (FHSD) Before we begin, remove light cover and light bracket. Easy. Next we try to remove the connector. The connector ...

Re: looking at buying
@Lancer1993 Depends what sort of traffic. The sort of traffic that would drive you mad when driving a manual is start-stop traffic. For example, there's a 8km route near my place (Sydney) in the morning that takes 30 minutes to travel by car. Lots of start stop. I can probably do that once in a whil...

Re: Video on how to remove A pillar interior trim
Thanks for those links @Lancer1993. I think I know which side panel you mean. I think I had to remove it to install the head unit. My only concern with this is the curtain airbag, anyone else have thought on this? I guess that is why I'm a little concerned about just stuffing it into edge. If I took...
