they pull straight off. get a finger under the top edge and pop em. pulled mine off when i installed my dash cam wiring up behind the air bag and roof lining.

the sst beeps inside the car to let you know that its in reverse (apparently the tone changes if it doesnt go into gear properly too). i just find it super annoying as when i get in to drive its just a constant series of beeps. bing bing bing, you turned the key on, bing bing bing bing bing, the doo...
