Re: Manual to automatic climate control

Must be to create a vacuum so air flows over the sensor to give the computer a reading. So the newer cars must have more of a control in the ECAS so the photo sensor is null and void. Reading this thread it seems some people believe the photo sensor controls the auto headlights, no one has posted s...

Re: Manual to automatic climate control

thanks mate, if it has the bubble then its got the sensor. All the VRs at the wreckers had a flat blanking cover with auto climate control. I wonder if only the early cars had them?

Re: Manual to automatic climate control

I've seen that pic a lot, but does your VRX have one fitted? The Aspire at jollys didn't :? sarusa is right when he says that the temp will only heat/cool to the set temp, and it probably gets there quicker without the sensor but you might get a little bit more noise in the cabin with the fan going ...

Re: Manual to automatic climate control

Thanks all for the replies, I'm starting to suspect that Australian delivered models don't actually come with the light sensor. I've checked out heaps of VRs with auto climate and none of them have the photo sensor on the dash. The plug for it is definitely there behind the instrument cluster, but n...

Manual to automatic climate control

hey all, has anyone upgraded their manual climate control to the auto version? I did a search and there's a fair bit of info out there but it doesn't appear that anyone has actually done it. From what I've read it seems simple enough. Climate control panel, photo and temp sensor. Some people reckon ...

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

Should have asked, what is the best way to deal with the VIN issue, if it is a problem? Its in the EEPROM dump in plain ASCII so when you're adjusting the odometer change the VIN as well. You only need to change the last few characters to match the car. If a dealer did a scan a VIN mismatch could c...

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

I just adjusted the odometer for a mate and noticed the VIN programmed into the EERPOM. So if you're changing your cluster it might be an idea to change the VIN to match otherwise it might get throw up an error code later on or get picked up by a dealer.

Re: *HOW TO* buy OEM parts through Chief Buyer

hey all I know there isn't a chief buyer any more but do we have any dealers in Victoria who won't charge us an arm and a leg for parts? Eagle auto parts in Dandenong has bought out some of the Mitsubishi distribution centres and are clearing a lot of Mitsubishi parts at really good prices. I don't ...

just googled ralliart steering wheels but they are different again!

outlander/asx wheels have the same audio/cruise siwtches as a normal lancer. even the airbags look the same from the outside!
