let Insurance take care of the accident and let them sort the damage of the cars being the reinforcement bar dont think that will be unrepairable but they will or should be able to replace all the damaged parts with new bits.

if you take it to a towbar shop they should be able to remove it for you no problem they might be even able to remove all the wiring that went with the towbar kit

Yeah that's it I have had bought a couple things for my lancer before selling the car from RC Hill Mitsubishi and there stuff was pretty good
