More about you

Hi guys - just thought I'd start a thread so we can get to know a bit more about each other. Apologies if it's been done before. Anyway, I'll kick off. I am Andrew, 29 yrs old and engaged - gonna get married in March '09. I live in Campbelltown, south west Sydney Australia. I bought a house there la...

Lucky you were in a CJ and not one of those Domino's Toyota Yaris buzz boxes, it might have been worse. Also lucky that the force of the smash wasn't focussed on the front axle of your car - that would have made repairs a fair bit more costly if the axle/drive set up was damaged. Shit happens - and ...

Yeah I am having no luck with the mrs about the vinyl LOL (she sounds like a real hard ass, but she's actually caused me minimal grief before - I don't know what her problem is with it!) - so I thought the grille change would be ok. The genuine Mitsubishi 'sports grille' looks a bit lamo, especially...

Okay cool - thanks I will try. I guess I can always ask a smash repairer too as they can order parts. I got a full genuine Holden SS body kit for my now sold () V8 VS commodore ute a few years ago that way. I think it's gonna be unlikely that anyone with the Olympic/Aspire grille set would want...

Don't the dealers only let you order parts relating to your model spec and order via your VIN? I thought I had read somewhere else that someone had tried to get parts not associated with their particular model and the dealer said they couldn't get them?

Front Grill Swap

Anyone in Australia want to swap me their Olympic Edition/Aspire front grilles with the standard black ones??

Or alternatively, does anyone know if the Olympic/Aspire ones can be purchased?

I am guessing my dealer won't help as my car did not come with them standard.

When I rocked up at the dealer with money to burn recently I had a choice of silver or white. There was only one choice really - white it was!!

Ozie, I notice that you haven't used a separate piece of vinyl around the tow hook cover - did you not do it cos it was too hard or was it to make your bumper look more flush? If my mrs lets me do the vinyl, I think i will use a separate piece and heat it to get the curves as I actually don't mind t...

It's been a while since I finished university - but decisions for me were pretty easy as the course I did was only available at two unis at the time - NSW at Randwick and New England in Armidale, so I chose to stay in Sydney. Living is an important part of uni - so if you want to try new things and ...

Problem is - I dont to do engine mods til I'm off my P's, so I don have to worry about the 200kw thing.

Chief, I don't think installing a cold air intake is going to take your VR close to the 200kW limit... you can do that now no worries.
