As I understand it, when you make a not at fault claim, your insurer pays you directly from their pot, you don't get paid from the at fault driver's insurance. They either just add it to the ledger and all the underwriters settle their IOUs at the end of the year, or they get the funding a long time...

Ticked over 25000km and replaced the shot factory tyres with Toyo T1 Sport. $292 from Tyrepower Albion for standard 215/45R18 and only $65 for a wheel alignment. Kmart wanted $351 a piece.

I got a front bumper from them more than a decade ago. It looked alright enough but I was young and just after something cheap and replacing a damaged factory bar. http://imageshack.com/scaled/large/834/pwuv.jpg I wouldn't buy from them now, but that's because I am infinitely richer than I was 10 ye...

[quote:35818dad94=Ben]They dont even apply two coats of wax! The whole process goes something like this; first they point behind you and say whats that??? then when you turn to see what it is they steal your wallet from your pants. Then they apply the so called paint protection by getting a fat guy...

ME actually Im more interested in your camera rig, than my car. Winner :) You'll see what I've done, I tested it very briefly by myself but was too scared to do too much (or use an expensive lens) without being there to catch it if it falls. Once I've got it down pat I'll be putting up a how-to thr...

Hey Michael, There are different types of exhaust tips depending on the model. Some are just a screw on type with a bolt to tighten it onto the exhaust pipe, in which case you might as well just get the same thing from Super Cheap, or there are the ones that have the proper built on chrome tip that ...

LX, RX, SX, Platinum etc are just dressed up ES models as shamoo pointed out - Mitsubishi calls them SAMs - Special Action Models. In Australia there is no model called a GSR, the base Evo is just called an Evolution, and there is the Evolution MR which gets you TCSST as standard, different wheels/b...

Well, yes, obviously a rational person would understand a speeding car poses an immediate danger to people, whereas a recovered car or a burglary is still going to be there to process whether they arrive in 2 minutes or 2 hours, it isn't a crime in progress. It's not like they didn't come for a week...

The worst was the fords i was test driving back in 2010 for a new car. no locking mechanism on the fuel door. (fiesta, Focus) I asked the dealer where the fuel door release was. he just said to go open it manually! 1 of the many reasons why i did not buy a ford. The spare key is a great idea if the...

What's wrong with 2 hours? Coming to see a stolen car that has been found is hardly going to get priority one.

Did anyone see on the news the other day an attempted robbery at a service station?

Can't remember exactly what happened, but it showed a CJ Lancer and said the thieves gave up and ran away after they "couldn't work the car's ignition"

Smart Key FTW!
