Look for oil leaks and any evidence the transmission is not behaving correctly.
Best to get a Ralliart owner to also drive the car to check for tranny weirdness.

A huge thank you to Annie Tiff and Troy for making the weekend a success. I can assure you all a good tuning session relies on committed local help, and that was forthcoming in abundance. From my point of view I was very pleased with the results and I am sure Elliott is happy to know his Ralliart ha...

Ok, people up for tuning this trip, its time to send me a pm on your tuning time/slot preference. I notice there is a bid for early Saturday and one for Sunday morning already, so send me a note. My preference is to do most of the NA Lancers Saturday morning and early afternoon and the Ralliarts lat...

Can I ask that all cars booked for tuning be fueled with 98 octane fuel, from either BP or Shell. Please avoid Caltex, as I have had three cars for tuning this year that were fuelled with Vortex98 that were definitely not 98 octane. Noticeable knock was evident and the ECU was interpolating into the...

The exhaust gas for EGR function is generally a small port off one of the exhaust chamber, crosses thru the head and emerges on the intake side where it is run to the valve and then into the intake manifold plenum. I hate these things, they are the reason your intake looks like it has had crap run t...

I know for a fact it is not fitted to all Lancers worldwide and hot inert gas addition to the intake mix increases the likelihood of detonation and raises cylinder temps and reduces your fuel efficiency and reduces the power output. Thats why tuners have been at war with the EGR valve for many many ...

Nasty looking piece of excess weight and complication, especially when it fails. Sometime this year I will be looking for a test bunny so I can find and totally disable the EGR function. I am sure it can be done and I know more or less where the byte that will need to set to zero resides. Some testi...
