Re: Emergency Services Slow to 40 rule
It's an ok idea, emergency services deserve the same safe working environment everyone else would demand at their worksites. The video in the link I provided even says they won't procecute if you have tried your best. Unless the car is automatically detecting speed (not allowed as needs an operator ...

Re: Emergency Services Slow to 40 rule
People have trouble doing 40 in school and work zones as is and it bugs the hell out of me. I take personal delight in doing the right thing and slowing down but it can cause cars to ride my tail and I'm sure one day it will result in a rear ender. Been past a few police cars and usually it's the sa...

Re: Vic meet up end of April 2018
Click on the link in first post it will open up a Google map window. If you have an etag you can get to it via the exit just after Ferntree Gully road on Eastlink, car park is round to left. If your coming from Ferntree Gully road you can enter from Carribean Drive and turn left into Dalmore Drive t...

Re: Vic meet up end of April 2018
Awesome good to see interest is building. I have set the meet at the BP Southbound as link in first post shows as that is approximately in the middle of all potential attendees and will suit our purposes. If Eltham I'm in. It definitely won't be at Maccas Eltham, sorry Sarusa but I don't see that as...

Re: VRX Badge Position
Why not go badgeless? It's a common first 'mod' for people, remove model, MIVEC badges on sides and maybe even Lancer badge. Of course not for everyone but something to consider.

Re: How did you know you had a CJ/CF Lancer?
Probably a copyright issue, CK, CL are like Mercedes codes. Similar to how the 911 was meant to be 901 but Peugeot protested.

How did you know you had a CJ/CF Lancer?
I don't know when I discovered I had a CJ Lancer, most likely from Wikipedia which in turn lead me to Club CJ via google hits. Mitsubishi Motors Australia (MMA) don't seem to use the CJ designation much, it's not on my receipt, in the service manual or any genuine accessory leaflets, not used in adv...

Re: Vic meet up end of April 2018
We'll lock in Sunday the 29th of April at 9:00am. As you may have seen from other threads there is the idea to incorporate the club in the state of Victoria. This meeting will be a good opportunity to get more info on what that entails and to be able to have a chat about how we may proceed towards t...

Re: Wanted to buy MMCS version 1
Interesting that it would work when cold, maybe the screen is warping slightly. You could try hit it with freezing spray like this: https://www.jaycar.com.au/freezing-spray-can/p/NA1000 You can get it at most electronics stores as it's used to find heat related faults in electronics. If you can't fi...

Re: Wanted to buy MMCS version 1
Outside of ebay or gumtree you could try a local mitsubishi wrecker.
Don't know if NSW has diy wreckers but if so they are a great way to learn how the car goes together with no risk.

Re: Wanted to buy MMCS version 1
Have you though about getting it repaired? Random Google search found this: http://www.electronicrepairs.com.au/index.php/repairs/products/item/mitsubishi-mmcs I don't know anything about this company, have never used them and not endorsing them but as you can see there may be options for getting th...

Re: Vic meet up end of April 2018
Maybe at Maccas Eltham! Maccas Eltham is ok for both of us but as the majority of members are in the south east and east it would be unfair to ask them to trek there. If it's too far see if you can find someone to drive your car there for you as it would be good to have a row of CJ's. At the very l...

Re: Active Victorian members roll call
The main role is to organise cruises and meets. Ok, I'm already doing that unofficially and would for the time being just like to remain as such. I want to organize a meet up with the Vic members at the end of the month, penciled in Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th of April (weekend after ANZAC...

Re: Active Victorian members roll call
I've been sitting back watching this thread develop. How do Victorian members feel about Mooman being a state moderator. I sure could do with some help from active members First up I want to say thanks aspir3 for sticking with this forum and giving everyone a free place to share all things CJ/CF La...
