I've heard boiling water removes superglue?
Have used the self adhesive stuff under bonnet, Works well, as does double sided tape.

Re: 90k Service Question
Need the 90k service for my MY11 Lancer ES in QLD in the next few months. Three nearest Mitsi dealerships have quote me around $1.1k at the moment. Obviously it's cheaper from independents on fixedpriceservice.com.au but do they use the correct fluids/parts etc. Anyone got any recommendations for i...

Re: Window seals
Re seal at rear of bonnet. suggest you check out Clark Rubber. they carry a variety of profiles some even self adhesive. While profile might not match exactly it will do the job as effectively or perhaps better at a fraction of the cost. There is one I know of, hollow and self adhesive that should b...

Re: Rough Idle After Service
Would flushing the ECU mess up a Merlin tune? lol Flushing it would wreck the ECU but flashing it, would depend what you wanted to do ha ha! :D My concern is That something didn't happen that shouldn't have happened causing the problem. eg: Engine started without having replaced the oil as happened...

Re: Rough Idle After Service
Car has always run fine and is still running fine not even a miss and now idles normal just that one glitch. Jaycar Have a smart meter kit with ten LED's that can be fitted in a car constantly giving you a readout of mixture density and even lets you know when running on a closed loop. Also a buzzer...

Re: Rough Idle After Service
Possible sticky EGR valve. See your answer as being the most plausible, thanks. Change of subject. Ive fitted an RA snorkel to my MY15 ES 2ltr CJ. and run on 98ron full time. Is there any point in putting in one of your ECU tunes if in fact you have a set plug in one for for my car at this point. I...

No! Just engine noticeable on rocker cover visually.
Have received email and phone call from dealer since complaint asking if any other queries!

Re: Rough Idle After Service
Thanks to all above for your help. Air filter replaced correctly, sticky EGR sounds a very valid possibility but if so has only ever happened once. reset ECU was advised nothing other than service items touched, only item reset was date and ks for next service. All has been fine and now seems fine, ...

Rough Idle After Service
Checked under bonnet with car at idle after service, engine was , how can I put it! wobbling about more than usual. Took it back to dealers. Mechanic claimed couldn't see anything wrong, it was normal, checked with new car and new car was noticably smoother, he claimed no different. While driving no...

Re: RA vs NA?
merlin is used by many to tune their cars, that's his game. So I would take what he has said as having been achieved and fact. Not supposition or may be.
Also note the 230kw is at the wheels, raising the bar higher again.

Re: RA vs NA?
Just happened to go through this November thread which brought a question to my mind. How much power and or torque can the CVT transmission in the CJ, early and later models handle safely, long term? Absolutely safe limit on the 2lt should be, 125kw power and 226nm torque as with 2.4ltr engines and ...
