Re: Mitsubishi recalls 500,000 cars in AU
Wasn't there someone new to the forum with fog light and cluster issues, could be the oxidation issue? FYI mines in the " An inappropriate manufacturing process of an electrical part on a manufacturing line may cause the voltage inside the ETACS ECU to be unstable." what ever that means? ...

Re: Mitsubishi recalls 500,000 cars in AU
What gives with the VIN ranges provided on the recall? http://www.recalls.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/1088812 JMFSNCZ4A9U000201 ~ JMFSNCZ4AFU000214 Observe that the characters wrap around? So is it read that all vehicles from JMFSNCZ4A9U000201 to JMFSNCZ4A9U999999 and then JMFSNCZ4AAU000001 an...

Re: [Help] Do I need CVT Service?
That's a tranny issue... Try a fluid change if your up for it - new fluid in trannys can do wonders to make them change better ( I speak from a manual trans tho, CVT are slightly different).. On the flip side, it's not a wheel bearing or CV joint gone wrong ;).. not that it helps you much.. I've onl...

Re: [Help] Do I need CVT Service?
Isolate it some more - I'd be tempted to find a safe road that you can get to speed in, and drop it in neutral so you can be sure it's not bearing noise (i.e. with the tranny in neutral you are effectively ensuring the noise isn't related to wheel bearings, brakes, cv joints). If there's no noise ro...

Re: WTB: oem MMCS GPS/nav antenna
If you can't find an OEM one, I think you can get away with an after market one, I'm not sure on MMCS, but the aftermarket GPS antennas that you stick up in the dash are an SMA style connector, and those would be really easy to find / buy..

Re: C2116 - ABS Pump Motor Supply Low Voltage
The power supply for the ABS pump is in the ABS ECU. For that measurement to take place, perhaps inside the ECU they are reading the voltage from that supply, and if it's below X for X seconds / minutes, then the code is triggered. If we think about a typical voltage regulator circuit, that could be...

Re: Help needed!: ASC "Service Required" Error
You could try Mitsubishi, it's travelled less than 31,000k, so you'd think the ABS module would be good for that. The ABS module is under the bonnet, right hand side, has some steel tubes going to it and looks like a cylinder - you should see the part number, can you post that (or a picture of it).....

[quote:ed3ebdc98f=toc]I think the tank is 65L, so I had 15L to go.[/quote:ed3ebdc98f] According to my owners manual hiding in the glove-box, its 59 litres. Yep, so 49.98 / 759.2KM = 6.5l/100km. Extra 9L left in the tank would have provided enough to go around an extra 150ks or so (putting the pump ...

[quote:5da3b09d4c=toc]Odd - I had my car down to 5.8l/100km from NSW to Qld just a few weeks ago. So, yeh, 8-9 is unusually high. And yeh, I had cruise control on most of that, and yeh, I had it maintaining the speed limit.. On the trip back I got to the 6.4l/100k (and got 750ks out of the tank :))...

I read you can change the time it samples to give you the fuel usage, normally its 4 hours but on the road trip Id like it longer, anyone know how that all works Wrong... It samples and updates every 30 secon...
