Yes Blakey, you are correct to discuss all modification to your insurance. I meant more in regards to the repairs.
Organise repairs and mods with repairer then tell your insurance about the changes.

Your insurance do not care what you do to your car. They are only concerned about the cost to return your car back to new condition. They will pay you or a recognised repairer the cost of the damage only. You could paint the car a different colour, change panels, lights, etc. or just take the cash p...

We have had them in S.A. for a few years now. They also now photo unregistered car and cars owned by drivers with suspended licences.
This is all good, keeps the taxes up for us good people and slows the hoons down, that gives us car enthusiast a bad name.

SIR-VRX wrote:The recess into the grab handle area in the Commodores...

You could get them to recess in the middle of our grab handles

I assume I would have to cut a slot in mine to make these fit?
I will go to a commodore wreckers to inspect their handles, they could not be to different to ours.

I just found something cool on ebay. I dont know how to get link. But they were lights that fitted in the roof handle for vz commodore. If these handles bolt on to the lancers, then I could use these and would not have to cut roof lining or could return back to standard.http://www.images.clubcj.net/...

If you wanted to have them switched seperately as well as come on with the doors it changes a bit. Add a switch grounding out to the body, as shown here: http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll259/cyruschrono/d7d261d7.jpg -- You can use whatever 12V light you wish. I was looking at your first drawing...

SIR-VRX wrote:Are you sure you're a sparky Blake? You should know that without a return path, no current flows therefore no drain on the battery ;) A voltage will still be present though, of course.

That what I was thinking, but I only have B class electrical licence or disconnect/connect.
