If you have the time and can be bothered I would put a false front on the box that fits the boot exactly running it into every edge - will give it a much more custom made look as well as securing the box in place. Shouldn't cost you much as doesn't need to be thick MDF and then just buy some carpet ...

Those prices aren't bad, its just the mounting position for the OEM camera that puts me off. Maybe I'll buy the harness and then get an aftermarket wide angled camera that can be mounted down by the numberplate.

If it comes with all the cable shown in there (enough to get to the back of the car) then I think it's an okay deal - all you really need to do then is buy a compatible camera? If I knew how to pull the dash apart and get a cable to the back of the car without any issues I'd do it as I'm pretty sur...

$58 just for the wire?? Apparently you can use a 4 pin computer block as they are spaced the same as the MMCS then cut an RCA female adaptor and wire that in, then all you need to do is splice the power and ground.

I quite like it :oops: If you look at previous Outlanders they have a very similar look to the Lancer, and now that Mitsubishi have come up with such a great front end, expect to see it replicated across the range - it will be the face of Mitsubishi! Not great for the headturning ability of our car ...
