I might charge it up, I've got a Projecta Procharge charger. The rejuvenation mode runs for 24 hours and sends high frequency pulses through the battery which supposedly breaks down sulphation. Seems to work, it has recovered seeming dead batteries before. The car is essentially 2.5 years old, so I ...

So after what time and mileage have people on here needed to replace the OEM battery? I could just wait until it goes flat, but I would rather have a reliable battery (such as the Century Ultra Hi Performance 75D23L) that I can rely on not to conk out on me when I go away for Christmas! Conversely t...

That's true, although I have seen in other vehicles of varying brands that when going to a higher capacity CCA they car starts over quicker. By that I mean flick of the key and instant start as opposed to holding it there for half a second etc. I suspect it's more the case they chose the smallest ca...

Not keen on businesses using Facebook as their main page, but it's okay as an addition to their webpage. Having something on Ebay is fine.

It's not hard to get a battery bigger than 356 CCA!

That's what I thought might happen with different batteries. Not much clearance there at all! I checked out the battery in the car, it appears to be still the original, and it's a 356 CCA battery size 55D23L. The battery itself doesn't seem to have a brand on it from what I can see, it's got a white...

Really? I better check the book. Pretty sure the battery in the car matches the book, which is much less than 540 CCA!

The CCA of the factory battery is around 365 CCA or something like that. It's very low. Most replacements except for very low end batteries would be 400+. Not sure of the brand of the original battery, I didn't check. I was thinking that aftermarket batteries would fit, but you got to love that they...

Thanks :). I was thinking of giving the current battery a full charge (with rejuvenation cycle on the Projecta charger) and replacing it before next winter. Another question, can the battery be charged connected to the vehicle, or do you have to remove it? I know with some cars you can't charge with...

Battery replacement and fitting etc

I was looking at the OEM battery in the car yesterday and basically balked at the standard battery capicity. 365 CCA or something? That's pretty pathetic. I'm guessing for the American models they put something a bit better in because I doubt 365 CCA would be a good starter in snow. The car is a 201...

Aluminised is much better. Apparently though the guy at the exhaust shop said that some good brands like Berklee, Redback etc may list them as mild steel where in fact they're aluminised steel. I tend to agree with that, because it doesn't look like bare steel, and the alleged mild steel one on my M...

I drove 25 km to Everlast Mufflers because they do a great job and had the Berklee that I wanted. Basically the guy there recommended two mufflers that would give similar performance, a Redback and the Berklee, and he said they were much the same as each other. Apparently Berklee have dropped PEX an...

No nothing done with the cat or O2 sensors. The exhaust is stock right up to just after the last resonator where there is a flange for the muffler. It's the post 2012 MY13? exhaust design that has a normal car layout, not the horizontal muffler. The other interesting thing is I did not have the air ...

I put on the muffler that I was going to do. Got the Berklee, sounds great! Felt like there was more power/torque. I guess in a 1/4 mile time it would probably make squat difference due to the WOT state etc, but general driving it feels more free. It really confused the trip computer though with the...
