Re: Ralliart P0365 CEL

Can't remember when they got rid of the 10 yr drivetrain warranty for original owner. Worth checking if you are the first owner.

Re: Help buying Ralliart

Oh and the 2nd issue is if you're ever thinking of getting a tow bar for a small trailer then you can't with the RA, the SST is not suitable and they just don't make a tow bar kit for the RA. The SST is fitted to the outlander diesel of similar era. They put a ECU controled fan on the stand alone c...

Re: Help buying Ralliart

Rather timely about having a maintenance reserve to pay for repairs, in case you haven't seen the replace transmission thread.

Re: Replace Transmission

Now that you have the code, you can start researching. If you go to a dealer, they will replace the whole thing. They don't inspect individual components and just follow the service manual, which says replace. If you go to a sst specialist, they will look at the springs in the torque damper. If it i...

Re: Help buying Ralliart

Even if the test drive is fine, you need to have $4k in your back pocket for repairs (clutch or timing chain). You don't need that only if you can wait to save up without a car when the triangle light up on the dash. Are these things known for being unreliable or something? Seems like a lot of peop...

Mine is almost always on recirculate so filter is still clean. Don't like the smell of exhaust from the cars in front.

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

Since you are in Sydney, just get something decent from Tempe or Tyresales. Both have sales from time to time. In June, I got a set of run out FK453 215 45 R18 for $118 each when Tempe had a 15% off sale on ebay. Tyre was 2 or 3 years old but I already anticipated it won't be new stock. A week after...

He might be thinking of going through while you stop. His brakes are fine, just his ute tyres locking up.

Perhaps they didn't check the pads or the mechanic don't want extra work.

Re: Help needed!: ASC "Service Required" Error

It is a shame that these things aren't built to be serviceable. Imagine if we can just remove the pump using an allen key and swap a new one in or take it to a electric motor repair shop while the unit is still in the car. No need to mess with brake fluid and bleeding.

Must change the pads when they start squealing I supposed? Assuming that your pads aren't squealing now.

Re: Replace Transmission

Look at your transmission service invoice and tell us what fluid they put in and how much they charged for it.

Find out what the fault code is so they we can give you more informed advice.

Are you the original owner? If yes, 10yrs 160k drivetrain warranty applies.
