Maybe you should have thought about that before spending 8K doing the makeover? You could have put that towards a Ralliart? Now on to some helpful advice... Upgrading to a Ralliart is the much more sensible choice. The only reason you'd want the 4B11T swap is if you have a manual and stand by it. I...

Is it just the motors that fold the mirrors which have a problem? If so, maybe you can just find the mechanism of newer Lancers and hook it up to yours. It turns out the MY14 with the indicators is a different shape, which means you have to get the whole assembly.

Some MY14/MY15 Lancers already have the mirrors with signals. Have you considered them?

Not true. While the gearboxes are ever so slightly different, there is no evidence to suggest they are any more susceptible to failure than any other SST. If you read more closely, I said several 2009 and some 2010 models, not all of them. Most of the cars around the forums with the SST failure are...

Best thing to do is make a firm offer of your own, as in give them a price you're willing to pay, and go like, "Do I drive or do I walk?" That said, you're meant to offer the lowest driveaway figure you've seen. Worst that can happen is they say no, which isn't too often especially when EO...

The Ralliart is a great car, so there's no reason to have to think about buying one, hehe. Seriously though, it's an underrated, unappreciated machine. It has loads of potential, and tuners on the east side (Merlin, Beeble and Megatron) can literally transform it. It looks good, can kill a big six, ...

That's right. They can't work on your car before advising the extra cost you were previously unaware of. I tell shops to let me know if their quote will increase by more than $50. That way I can decide to go ahead and they don't start anything until I say yes. Also get everything IN WRITING. At leas...

It's nice to know that a comprehensive SST replacement is now a few grand cheaper. I remember reading $10K or so a couple of years ago. I'd definitely go for Dodsons when the time comes.

I highly doubt the flash is for speeding. Cameras taking photos of your car speeding should be behind your back. The cop car was also in motion and going the other way so it wouldn't have captured a measured speed from you.

Paul, can you post the final pic of that? I want it done as well, but want to see how much boot space is lost.

Thanks

LF: Ralliart Front Undertray

Hi,

If there's anyone of you who changed to the SSP metal undertray, maybe you can consider selling your plastic one to me.

Please PM or reply to this thread.

Thanks

Having owned both an NA CVT and RA, I'd say the upgrade is well worth it. But you'll only appreciate the benefits if you really want the performance, otherwise you'll just be using more fuel. The SST is nice to operate in Sport mode, with gear changes happening instantly unlike other transmissions w...
