Re: Mitsubishi recalls 500,000 cars in AU

Personally I think when you book a car in for a dealer service they should run the VIN to check if there is anything outstanding and do the work during the service. EDITED - at least we don't have this issue... yet. Almost every Hyundai Tucson SUV recalled in Australia because the bonnet can fly op...

Re: Lancers and long legs

You must be a tall fella, I'm 6'5" and have no worries with the seating position..back seat would be a different story entirely. As far as the RA goes, regular maintenance should keep you hassle free. There's always a possibility of things dying with age but keeping the maintenance up you'll be...

Re: Mitsubishi recalls 500,000 cars in AU

I see, thanks for the insight. My guess is they'll build up stock to keep on hand with the recall number being so high - as its early days though you'd be pretty spot on saying a 2nd trip would be required if the serial falls into the range. Im guessing you went to CCA mitsy?

Re: Mitsubishi recalls 500,000 cars in AU

Yeah it could take weeks for those letters, you can check the VINs earlier in the thread or just call them. Better off getting it done ASAP if you can arrange to be without the car for a day, lucky I'll be around the corner from my dealer tomorrow so easy walking distance. Did they give you an esti...

You do realise I'm not the person who bumped the topic? It showed up in 'recent posts' so no, I didn't look at the time stamp.

Re: CJ ES 90,000kms Service done

I'd say that's excellent value for money considering all the work you had done. I expected the total to be a lot higher than that!

I'll definitely keep my eye out! If you get a random beep from a Warm silver Sportback it may just be me!

Re: MY11 Dash cluster conversion

I'm sitting here staring at my dash right now and I think it'd be fairly safe to say that the centre AC vents will need to come out. The one on the right should be able to stay in place. All of my experience with dismantling dashboards has been in Mazdas where the middle AC vent must be removed to t...

Re: Sportback!

Not sure how well it'd suit the Sportback, especially if you've got a rear window spoiler. They do look decent on the Sedan and I think they'd look pretty good on a Sportback so long as you don't have the spoiler.

Re: New Sunny Coast CJer

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

The Lancer just spent the last few days in Caloundra waiting for a replacement power steering control unit. I spend a fair bit of time around Kawana/Birtinya/Caloundra so chances are I've seen your car around somewhere

New Sunny Coast CJer

Hey guys, My name is Kane, I live in Noosa and stumbled upon the forum a few days ago whilst looking for some servicing information. I've owned my Lancer from new in 2014 and have loved every minute of it! I'm a mechanic by trade so I look forward to being able to help out other users should they ru...
