Na, the MAzda is quieter but its not a quiet car. The Astras and i30s and Focuss are much quieter cars.

In terms of driving dynamics I would pick a Mazda. In terms of interior finish I would pick the Mazda. But everything else.. the Lancer wins

the civic will probably be better around the twisties (more fun) but it lacks the oomph in everyday traffic. ralliart is more comfortable around town too. but.. the civic is more unique.

Installation will be about 4h - depending on how good you are at doing such stuff. When I first did this - it was my first major do so it took me 11h (with long breaks). But it's actually not difficult to do at all.
