Re: Not a nice start to the day!
RA parts are not cheap. full RA bonnet from mitsubishi after my crash was quoted $1700 that includes the discount for the actual NA bonnet which is $875 as insurance would only pay for NA bonnet. (it included all the vents, clips, paint, labor etc.) so at full retail would have costed over $2500 + ...

Re: RA vs NA?
I'll go with merlin. Get a tune from him and maybe you'll post a higher mark than the 230!!! My car is a humble MY15 ES Sport. It has all the kick I need. Keep the rest in my rear vision mirror the odd times I've tried. Hit the go peddle right and your away, or, maybe the speed machine next to me, w...

Re: RA vs NA?
Go new or go NA. Want more power get the 2.4ltrNA. Much cheaper to buy, much cheaper to run and a lot more in your pocket to spend on improving and having fun, with a great little machine, with heaps of potential. Image wise An RA bonnet makes a nice start , a spoiler on the the boot if it doesn't a...

Give the boot a chance provided all gaps are equal, for a week or two, it will probably settle in. Mine did.

Simple I know, but unsure. Where are the central jacking points, front and rear, on the NA cars'

Re: CJ Price Then And Now
which new cars being offered for sale in Australia of today do not have some technology as old or older. There are some with as much old, or even older technology and these include top of the range brands. Why change when what you have is already fine? Main reason I believe is just market strategy A...

CJ Price Then And Now
Happened to be reading a review on the 2007 CJ on its release. Boy! Aren't we lucky. With all the added equipment, advanced technology and refinement Which exceeds most off what was offered by the then VRX with the now ES , we now pay substantially less then that VRX! I got a super bargain to that p...

Got hit in the rear and only visible damage was the bumper and rear quarter panel and cost was just under $8,000
Your bill as sent to your insurer, should itemize parts used and cost of each plus labor content etc: for each.
Usually a list of 2 to3 pages or more.

Re: Not a nice start to the day!
I am possibly wrong, but are you sure you read it right and quote doesn't mean each item price is shown.
So actual cost isn't $1700 but $1700 -$875 = $825?

Re: Mitsubishi recalls 500,000 cars in AU
Is the sound restricted to just at a set amount of revs or does it persist as you raise or lower the revs. If it happens as you accelerate and persists and reaches a much louder pitch at around 3200 to 4500rpm could be normal. Check induction items ie: air cleaner snorkel etc: for loose connections,...

WINDOW TINTING
Side and rear windows tinted. Needed in the Lancer apparently due to fade rate of interior. Looks great and somehow makes the car quieter, less wind noise coming through the glass perhaps. Job done through a highly recommended party. Top quality material cost $220. will let you Know how things are g...

Re: Not a nice start to the day!
Maybe, but need to see what the insurance says. Others have found if the repairs are not done with genuine parts they may not be covered. Ouch!!! Let your insurance look after everything, contact them and discuss the prospects of using an RA rear end if you cover all extra costs. Don,t accept a fla...
