What is a GT?

The letters GT either with or without the stripes to most of us in Aus: is unfortunately taken to be a power machine a vroom vroom muscle car. When in essence it really stands for Grand Tourer, or Grande Turismo, A car ideal for touring etc: with comfort, adequate power and a complaint well controll...

Re: 2015/16 ES sport body mods

Dress it up do what you like. Make it your individual car with Ra bonnet EVO bits or whatever then Stick a GT ( Grand Turismo) badge on it and hopefully offend no one.

PS> Maybe get a giggle from some! Previous Toyota Vienta had factory fitted Grande badge on it, no "T" :)

Re: Door Rubber Seal

So I noticed today that some of the clips that hold the rubber seal on the rear left door have broken. the rubber appears fine and is not dropped, not sure what I can do about it. Is it worth getting some clips from the dealer? Not sure if this is in the right place... Some double sided tape will h...

Re: Rear Diffuser

Wow! Diffuser and then some. Presume its a race car? Whats the material? Cosmetic? Be interesting to see results in a wind tunnel. Remember reading about a Stanley Steamer, steam car years ago, that was streamlined and bottom done in similar manner to try and break the then land speed record. At 190...

Re: Rear Diffuser

Basically all these items, such as rear spoiler, rear diffusers, roof and front diffuses and other add ons, do very little, if anything for the car with normal street usage, with in some instances a benefit at highway speeds. For instance at 120kph some down force from a properly designed and fitted...

Not really Dannn, sorry I'm out of order here, didn't notice age of thread, presume all is well now! Have picked up from old threads else ware in preference to starting a new thread, as this appears to be preferred and also brings forward, already available info: Saves repetition. Re: Broken wheel arch moulding

Hard to believe a bird that size could do so much damage. Perhaps what could have happened, bird caused initial damage causing the panel to come into contact with the rotating tyre and from there varoom!!!!

Re: Mod ideas and tips

For power mods, there are some significant gains to be had with the following: 1. 200 cell CAT. The stocker is the biggest restriction to the overall airflow. 2. RA snorkle. The stocker is weird and somewhat restrictive. The RA also does not have any resonator/damper feature. 3. Cosworth or TOG air...

Re: Rear Diffuser

Re gaps on edges. If problem persists on being intrusive whole of top edge can be hidden under for example wheel arch moulding which is available in 10mm or 15mm, chrome or black or painted to match whatever color you are using. Would also form a precise acceptable, some might say attractive, distin...

Re: Rear Diffuser

Isnt that painted on with plastidip? No it is painted black, not plastic dip. Thanks aspir3, my comments were based on the fact that the oem diffuser covers the same area and ads a few bits under then wants an astronomical price for it. Possibly the dearest bit of non discript plastic this side of ...

Re: Rear Diffuser

lol Even if it was, this is what the oem std: diffuser looks like, with a couple of small deflectors underneath, undetectable in the picture.
I have decided to go with Talon diffuser.
