Re: Interior Front Reading Lights

Here's a circuit diagram, black is ground and there should be yellow and red going to light. Or going off the rear dome light it's a black wire to pin 3 and a black/white to pin 2 using plug output D-02. Wire colours are only a guide as things can/do change so to be sure a multimeter is recommended....

Re: Interior Front Reading Lights

Are they the proper lancer lights in the front? If so you can turn them on by pressing in the clear lens at the indent on either side.

Re: rust on a new gsr.....

5 year warranty is only for perforation corrosion, not surface rust. Stone chips etc. that get through the paint and primer undercoat will show up as rust spots, my car front end is full of such spots. As it's only surface rust as others have said it's easy enough to treat the rust then paint over. ...

Re: Mate car wont go out of gear

If it's anything like the Lancer immobilizer then it needs the key in the barrel as it powers up a chip in the key that sends an ID code.

Re: Seating question

The Neoprene are good but as stated really expensive for what you get. Mine have faded even with darkest legal 'Midnight Express' tint and the stitched Lancer logo has yellowed somewhat. But they are water proof and clean off very easily. Only thing is I'm not sure if there are different versions fo...

Re: 2017 Black Edition CF Lancer

Thanks for photos, seems the Black edition has the smaller ES brakes. But the colour display is nice and the other bells and whistles make it a good buy considering it's the same price as the ES Sport.

Re: 2017 Black Edition CF Lancer

There are a few differences under the hood. Has hydraulic power steering which is interesting, I wonder if it's a Black edition thing or if Mitsubishi have ditched the electronic PS in the CF?. Has the clamshell style exhaust manifold so a possible point for upgrade. Has the newer style airbox with ...

Re: New Member MY16 Lancer

The K&N filter might not fit your airbox. As your box has the short clips it is the newer design with a different filter. You would need K&N 33-3015 instead.

Anyone get hit by hale on 19/12/2017?

Melbourne seems to be getting hit by extreme weather events lately, global warming I guess. Latest one brought with it a short but fierce hail storm with large chuncks of ice. http://i.imgur.com/Gjciuipl.jpg Tried to take shelter in a temporary carport at my house but it was no match for mother natu...

Re: MY09 Lancer VR-X

The RX is just a base model with 16 inch alloy wheels as standard, you'll loose some of the stuff found in a VR-X such as accessory port in armrest, larger brakes and swaybars, strut tower bar, sideskirts and larger wing, 18 inch wheels, 2.4 litre engine, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate contr...

Re: New Member MY16 Lancer

Welcome, yes I'm out in Templestowe and Sarusa is St Helena area we meet at Eltham McDonalds sometimes but nothing formal or scheduled. What car (trim) have you got? The body kit and wheel set suggest CF ES Sport but the engine bay has hydraulic power steering suggesting something else (newer cars a...

Re: MY09 Lancer VR-X

Being a FWD the front tyres will wear quicker as they are involved in acceleration, turning and a large part of braking so if not rotated on a regular basis it's normal for them to worn more than rears. Not necessarily a sign of the car being trashed, uneven wear across the tread is more of an issue...

Re: Changing aircon filter - right flow direction?

Yes that is correct, arrow pointing down from the outside to the blower fan.

The Ryco filters are printed upside down to the Mitsubishi ones but the important part is the arrow.

Re: pics of your lancer in great locations

Not a great location (Maccas Eltham) or a great picture but I couldn't for the life of me find the 'Your Lancer next to another Lancer' thread. Shows my car (Black) and member Sarusa's car (Silver). Ignore the Subaru spoiling the shot as Sarusa thought it was my car, but I forgive him! :) http://i.i...
