Re: Help needed!: ASC "Service Required" Error

The pump is out of a bog standard 2l lancer ES so I'm hoping it will be compatible. But now I have a spare chances are I'll never need to find out :) Just following up on this one dopey.. any need for the spare? Does anyone know if newer pumps can be swapped into older Lancer - say 2015 to 2010 ?

What's everyone's thoughts on the Evo and RA (based on lancer body) - likely to stay around ?

Re: Lancer "gone by end of 2018"

"48,000 ASXs, Outlanders, Pajero Sport and Pajeros " -- the ASX/Outlander would be dominating those.

Camping Equip

What's everyone's thoughts for loading up camping equipment? I'm not a fan of roof racks (well, if they have to be permanently attached) - because they look ugly and when you load tents etc and drive at 100ks, the fabrics can tear (i've seen tarps get torn to shreds just because of the wind velocity...

Just confirming that a gentle few taps got mine going again.
Didn't need to remove it from the car - the motor is somewhat accessible just behind the air filter box.

Re: DIY Tow Bar Install

I used relays cause I didn't want to wait on a box - and - the relays were selected to be 10mA of draw ;) - easy as, minimal drain. The transistors would add load to the circuit just around 1/10th of the relay - all insignificant though.. I got the relay box together the same day (saturday). Why the...

Re: DIY Tow Bar Install

Here's a pic of the bolt up arrangement for mine.. It was definitely installed properly :) It was rear ended and the tongue of the tow bar bent up and pushed into the exhaust! I bought the bar second hand - I know it's not a genuine Mitsi bar. http://i.imgur.com/pvtDjXsl.jpg See the 8.8 Bolts.

Re: DIY Tow Bar Install

Tow Bar for me was an after market... I didn't touch the bumper and just bolted it up - make sure you have the right grade of bolts.. It's very easy to bolt up.. Depending on style, you might need to cut the bumper (else it'll have the plastic bending from the tow bar). Factory bolt holes are easy -...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manual_transmission Wikipedia help for those that can't figure out that a manual transmission by it's very nature is 'manual' - nothing automatic about it. The RA is NOT manual, it's SST Is computer controlled and so the transmission falls into the category of https://e...

Re: Regular ULP to be phased out in 2 years?

Let's not forget where that ethanol comes from...

Ethanol requirements go up, farmers get more for their crop, so food prices go up due to lower supply (cause we are burning it as fuel as opposed to food). More crops you say? Only so much farmland..
