Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

My cluster if from and Outlander and now just over 133000kms. My cluster was changed by a guy I found in Brisbane, think I checked online. Anyway he could not get it exact and I think its like a few hundred kms out, wrote it down some place to keep a record. Mine had to be set back to around 106000k...

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

Interesting, my CJ is due for a service at the dealer (part of the used car extended warranty agreement, long story) Anyway its set for 135k right now and I'm pretty sure it had been changed at the last service, but I had changed my cluster over 2 years ago and its had at least 2 services in that ti...

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

Little OT but I still have my old cluster, no real plans to use it again, is it worth selling?
I've seen them on eBay from about $100.

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

Makes me wonder what would happen if my dealer needs to put the MUT on my car. I did ask them before the swap if it was okay and they didn't care. But if there is an error would they have to note or report it?

Re: What did you do today?

What have I done today... well nothing yet, just had some French Toast because if Sunday and bloody cold outside. Might look at starting repairs to my bumper after this... https://i.imgur.com/C9qyfe1.jpg I've taken the metal bumper guard off, not sure if it can be fixed but I think it saved the bump...

Re: Are the brakes on the VRX the same as the RA?

See if I put them on the VRX I'd 100% get them off before selling it... BTW do they come in yellow :) I guess a serious question is a lot of these slotted and drilled brakes look good but if they use the same calipers and you're only changing the disc and pads will they stop any better? I know the o...

Re: Are the brakes on the VRX the same as the RA?

Yeah so better off just getting stuff for the car I have and using them when it comes to the brakes and mechanical parts.

Thanks.

Are the brakes on the VRX the same as the RA?

Right short story I hope to own a RA one day but have a VRX right now. Will brake parts bought for a VRX fit a RA, does it depend on the model years? Not that I'd fit them to my VRX then swap them to a RA, kinda pointless IMHO. Something like this... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DRILLED-SLOTTED-Mitsu...

Re: Mod ideas and tips

They look good, don't know if I'd get a new Merc and back a $50 DIY trim to it though LOL

Let us know how it goes on the CJ.

Re: Tow bar wiring

Not saying I'd want to tow heavy load, just it would be nice to have the square hitch option for convenience.

Did a quick look and some do offer a tow bar solution for the RA, but I'll have to go into it further and make some calls and the info might be out of date and no longer available for the CJ.

Re: Tow bar wiring

Not sure if Mitsubishi still sells a genuine tow bar package, might have to look into this before making the move to a RA.

Its annoying the CJ Lancer has just the 1000kg limit compared to other small cars.

Re: Tow bar wiring

Which is annoying as I've see other new small cars with them, Corolla, i30, Golf just to name a few.

The i30 one looked factory with a Hyundai logo on the plate you put in the square hole when not using the tow hitch.
