Re: What did you do on your car today?

2nd hand car yards are worse, especially those not set up with a full dealer for shop. With my CJ had wheel issues when I first got it, one wheel had 3 different nut sizes on it, including one I could not find a socket to fit. Too bad if I got a flat on the side of the road before the issue was addr...

Re: What did you do on your car today?

From memory wheel nuts are meant to be around 90Nm, maybe 95? I keep a torque bar in my boot if I need it. Oh and a lot of the time I now carry my torque wrench :)

Re: Help buying Ralliart

I think the biggest issue with the Ralliart is everyone will say, "nice looking EVO mate". Seriously I've had some thinking my VRX is an EVO. Oh and the 2nd issue is if you're ever thinking of getting a tow bar for a small trailer then you can't with the RA, the SST is not suitable and the...

Re: Automatic Door Lock- is this feature available?

What I want is the doors locking when you go above say 10kph. I don't like the idea of them unlocking when you stop the engine or put the car in Park (those unfortunate souls with CVT). When you park you don't always want the doors to unlock until you're ready to get out, just imagine pulling up in ...

Re: Evo 10 Wheels

I like them, one thing I hate about my wheels are the multi stud design so there are 10 holes in each wheel, something they don't show in the glossy pictures at the tyre place when making your choice.

Re: Horn installer in VIC

All I know is I've have the Hella horns on my CJ for almost 4 years, it was one of my first mods and has worked without issue. I don't know about the Stebel horn but I do agree some like airhorns do need a relay and yes its not a hard mod. I put some on my first car over 20 years ago and they are th...

Re: Horn installer in VIC

My Hellas are basically a bigger version of any stock horn found on most cars, will they over heat the stock wiring? What I want to do is get a air horn that plays the dixie turn (aka Dukes of Hazard) and to make it legal wire it to a seperate switch, not the steering wheel button. Just need to find...

Re: Horn installer in VIC

When I installed a pair of Hellas I just ran it from the horns wiring, no extra relay or anything. Just needed to make up a good earth wire, pretty easy DIY if you'd done something like that before. I don't know is the Stebel horn needs extra power from its own relay? Is Stebel louder than Hella? Pi...

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?

Didn't really think about the handbrake shoes, are they worth changing if you do the rear rotors?

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?

Yeah I noticed, until the 15th I think. Might need to wait until next month to start getting bits. BTW the front rotors I want are about $290 a pair at Sparesbox, some exact ones at SCA are $260. So with 20% off Sparesbox is about $230. But right now all up with pads I'm still looking at $600. I wil...

Re: Pollen Filter Replacement

Thanks, I'll try that. Assume pressing it again turns it off, similar to the traction control button you need to hold to turn it off.

I think its set up this way and when some settings are changed the circulation changes.
