Re: pics of your lancer in great locations

Done almost another 1000km with no issues since this road, the RE003s seemed to have survived the little off hwy adventure. Also went to a lookout at Cummings Monument that would turn off some SUV drivers, short but steepish into it. https://i.imgur.com/JfyuWg8.jpg Did some more dirt work, about 100...

Re: pics of your lancer in great locations

Average is about 8lt per 100km, so maybe 600 to the tank just to no run it too low, prefer to leave about 1/4 full at the end of the day. Some minor damage when I backed into a star picket post, stupid me was not using the rev cam as I assume nothing that small was there, only used the mirrors. Shou...

Re: [WA] MY08 Lancer VRX Sedan

Gotta love the MCM guys.

Still amazes me how many bad drivers there must be with cars hitting gutters. in over 20 years of driving I think I've done it many 2 times. When you continually hit gutters maybe its time for a driving lesson!

Hi, nice first car.

There are loads of audio options for these cars and the costs for the Android systems keep on falling.

Re: Upgrade My09 Cluster

I chose the Outlander one because if was listed on eBay. They are identical to the Lancer ones and often cheaper, same goes for certain models of the ASX but I don't remember the specifics.

Yes thats a good thread, lots of info.

Re: Im new to the scene and have a few questions.

Easiest, cheapest and safest approach is to purchase a RalliArt complete with 2ltr turbo standard Or depending on how deep your pocket is an EVO. I'd second this, do light mods on your Lancer and save for a RA. Turbo goodness without the hassles of getting a conversion certified. Will probably cost...

Re: Upgrade My09 Cluster

The cluster from others Mitsubishis work also, I have an Outlander one in my 09 VRX. Just make sure is for a petrol engine, NOT diesel, the rev counter will be different. As for the swap its pretty easy, most with any knowledge with cars can do it in less than 30 minutes, from memory the centre soun...

Re: Auto Tensioner Flange Recall

In this case they check the part number and depending on that and a visual inspection they replace the part. You may need to wait before they can book you in so they have the parts on hand and you don't need to come in again. And yes its FREE, will only cost you some time. Drop it off for the mornin...

Re: Fuel Cap not opening when pulling lever?

My old 93' Lancer never had this issue, only problem I have some times is the fuel cap becoming hard to unscrew, put some grease on it and it works fine now.

Re: Fuel Cap not opening when pulling lever?

OT - why do they still put the boot and fuel openers next to each other?

At least its not as bad as some cars having the pull hand brake and bonnet release in the same spot!
