Re: LED tail lights with Running Lights

I was hoping they could be wired up like my DRLs, but good to know.

Also the stock lights stick out at the top, I think its just the design. Can you take a photo?

So do you think they are good, I like the indicators that, looks like some newer cars how they move.

Re: What did you do today?

BTW I still can't find Brembo pads on the sparesbox site, my VRX details at listed and when I do a search it simply says no parts listed for my car.

Re: What did you do today?

SCA now can colour match paint for brakes, so maybe take in your paint code? I'll wait for the 20% off, no huge rush. $400 is a good price. Be fitting them myself. This is were we need to organise more DIY days as a club, if someone has a bit of professional knowledge and a work space that would be ...

Looking good, just need to paint them now!

How much and where?
I'll need new brakes soon and looking to do the install myself.

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?

Thanks for the advice on cleaning new rotors, something I didn't think of. Yeah I know they rust, some weekends when I wash the car, park it in the garage without a proper drive, then the next day a light rust coat you can actually feel the drag on the brakes backing out the drive. Its the only time...

Re: Video on how to remove A pillar interior trim

Here is a YouTube clip of a CJ in a crash test, you can see how the side airbag deploys.

Re: Video on how to remove A pillar interior trim

I think the airbag would be more than powerful enough to push the lead out of the way, remember its a curtain so it basically goes down the glass when deployed. As long and the wire is not hooked over anything if the SRS goes off its gonna come down, it might in the worst case cut the power to the c...

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?

Okay just inspected all the rotors and measured them, aprox 25mm front and 10mm rear, so I'm thinking they have never been machined. I did note they are all smooth with no lip BUT the front left (passenger) does have some slight ripples, not very much but slightly more than the other front. If neede...

Re: Video on how to remove A pillar interior trim

You shouldn't need to remove them. I just poked the cable in the edge and it should stay. Now I used to run them up the windscreen side and along the trim at the top to the centre of the car, leaving just enough to plug it in. So start from the camera. When we put in the hardwire kit he said you can...

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?

Is that the DBA 'kangaroo paw' slotted rotors? Yeah pads first when needed but I'd like to do the lot together. BTW looks as the front rotors are not bad, some light imperfections like record rings but no lip on the edge. I'll get out my digital caliber to measure them this morning to see if they ha...

LED tail lights with Running Lights

Has anyone got these? They have built in running lights, I assume like DRLs but for the rear which kinda makes sense. https://www.cdnclouds.net/p/323f15b3706a6d1eef13-8c9663dd166c48220e6c3c05e98322fe.r70.cf2.rackcdn.com/4d78137aef01e83c3850ef97a1aa0324_2.jpg https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LED-Tail-Ligh...

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

When I got my CJ used the dealer checked on some Kumho KU39s, not bad but I do think the RE003s are better and quieter but they do cost $209 each, I got mine on a 4 for 3 deal.

Really depends on how much you want to spend.

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?

Rule is stop if its safe to, others think Amber = put the right foot down! Okay 99% of the time I keep and eye on traffic when getting to lights, know whats there and if its safe to stop, in this case the car following be pulled off, the light change and I stopped. Not hard or with ABS kicking in, I...
