Re: CCTV help please!

The camera came with a US power supply, got a AU one and yes that works without the ext lead, 12v 2a. Haven't got another lead the centre pin is + and 2.5mm with the outside 5.5mm. I tired a power supply from a HDD but it must have a 2.1mm pin as it just would not plug in. Went to JayCar but apart f...

CCTV help please!

So recently got a wireless CCTV on eBay for less than $70, works good. I can pan and tilt the camera from my phone anywhere I am. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/n8kAAOSw9mBcz9M8/s-l1600.jpg https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360-Wireless-1080P-WIFI-IP-Camera-Outdoor-Home-Security-Cameras-IR-Cam-CCTV/392291...

Re: DIY Brake Rotor Work what is needed?

Two weeks later LOL So I finally remembered to check that bottle, its unopened as I said but couldn't find a used by date, did find a production number or something but no date. Anyway its a Repco Dot 4 500ml which I'll take just for emergency use, the brake build is going to be done next week at th...

Re: Tapping into turn lights for DRL

I thought the turning thing would dim or turn off the DRL on that side when indicating, like it does on most cars where the DRLs are part of the headlight. Same goes for dimming, on cars with factory DRLs they often dim the DRLs and the don't turn off, either when you use the headlights or indicatin...

Re: Tapping into turn lights for DRL

Mine only dim with the headlight but they are seperate from the headlight unit.

Not sure about the turn signal thing.

Re: Replace Instrument Cluster

I got mine from an Outlander and didn't have this issue. My speedo is about the same but because I'm running 225/40R18 instead of the stock 215/45R18 and do the math there is a 4-5% difference in size.

I agree, follow my speedo (not the GPS) and you should not get a speeding fine!

Re: How much can I expect to pay for an EvoX?

The CC coupe was heart breaking to see go, owned that from new for over 20 years (didn't become a classic) original dealer cost about $24k in 93, sold for $800 and left on a trailer :(

Re: How much can I expect to pay for an EvoX?

According to AAMI my 09 VRX is worth about $7500 if it was written off or stollen.
Which is kinda sad considering I'm about 3-4 months from paying it off.
5 years ago I paid $15k for it, not including interest and other charges on the 5 year loan.

Re: boot lid swap

Mitsubishi would spend millions on R&D, China would knock something out in a few weeks and it will work and cost next to nothing to buy online.

Re: boot lid swap

Seriously why didn't Mitsubishi think of this?

If a guy (or girl) can DIY this at home why can't one of the worlds biggest auto makers come up with a better solution than sticking the camera in the middle of the boot lid?

Re: boot lid swap

Yeah mines about about the same hight but on the other side.

Just thought, would be cool if someone had made a 3rd brake light with the camera built in, yeah it might need to stick out a little but it could go at one end and be up nice and high for a better POV. Just a though.

Re:

This really is pointless if u still have to use a key  I agree, right now in my VRX the key fob stays in my pocked and I just turn the 'key' and away I go. Guess Mitsubishi didn't want to spend the money to put in a proper keyless push button start, but isn't it available on other models her...
