Re: USB interface socket

If my battery drops below 12v my CJ just won't start. On my dash cam wiring I set the volts to 11.5v min and next day the car was dead.

And this battery is an RACQ one and less than 18 months old.

Re: USB interface socket

quick question, i know this probably sounds like a stupid question... but why would you need to see what the voltage all the time? is there any time where something you plug in will go over 12V? was looking at one of those USB ports but never really stopped to find out why displaying the voltage wo...

Re: USB interface socket

Installed!

Now with volt meter, drops to just on 12.1v when engine is off but it will be good to monitor it on longer drives.

Also I've got some USB 'plus' coming in the next few days to keep dust out.

Re: USB interface socket

Got home and mine was in the mail box! Will plug it in later and test it.

I agree a nice update and cheap, I have seen some that allow data and power if wired to a suitable HU.

Re: USB interface socket

Can't wait for my new one, should just plug right in. Just choose the right lead, you need something low profile with flex, especially if you drive a manual, don't need the USB lead getting in the way of a gear change. Still a great solution when traveling and someone needs to charge their phone. Oh...

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

Thanks for the clarification.

I'd only do a RA upgrade if the price was right and the timing, right now its not needed.

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

Wait I thought the 2.4 VRX had the same size callipers as the RA, some of the sites I've checked list the RA and VRX for the same size rotors.

Don't like my VRX needs better brakes as such, I've never had an issue with them and not planning on using it as a track day car.

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

Maybe get the angle grinder out to modify the stock ones LOL On the cross drill v slots or dimples I was told the reason racing cars don't cross drill is it weakens the rotor, slots are much better and its not the slots but the internal vents that matter when it come to mounting them. That said most...

Re: Replacement Wiper Blades

Didn't take that photo today but the issue is the drivers side, around the centre it drags water back on the down stroke, about 5cm wide and over 30cm long so right cross the line of sight. Not an issue in heavier rain or driving at speed. But it is an issue when clearing the screen around town. Its...

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

Are they a directional design, so left and right? I'll keep them in mind but I would like to hear from anyone who has experience with the Vmax ones? Over all they shouldn't be much more than $600 for the 4 rotors and pads. I'll also be asking the dealer where I get my service if they fit parts I sup...

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?

$250 per end, so $500 total?

But I like the look of the other ones, its the same style 'slot' or what ever they use in the Supercar series, so in my mind they should work better
