That is exactly correct, however you have to wire the white LED's to some form of 12 V power. Generally the companies recommend tapping into the parkers and use them as a second parker kind of light.

I have replaced my parking bulbs with LED's from Jaycar on my 2014 Sportback and all it took was a bit of force. Just pull further down the globe as well. more towards the socket then pulling from the top. Hope that helps.

Next question haha. Were they easy to install, obviously you have to take the bumper out, but are they easy to connect in? Also did you put the LED's as Daytime Running lights or as parkers?

I was just looking at these ones because they had the solid line of LED's rather than the doted version.
