My impressions of my first day with my Lancer and the car.

OK, so I picked up my new MY10 VRX today. Not everything goes exactly to plan at the dealership, they cock up. Nothing major, all in all it's advantageous to me. They forgot to install the footwell illuminiation and the rear parking assist system, because of misinterpretation on the invoice. This st...

Hmm... Unless it is a typo on the computer system/dealer contract. Wait until you pick up the car and see what it has on the body plate. Mystery solved. Typo on the dealer invoice. It actually is a CY5A. Phew. Now I have to call my insurance to get the details corrected. Grrr. Then I can go for a d...

I ended up stopping at Tynans on the way (in Kirawee) and I was happy with the price they gave me so i didnt bother going any further! It was better than the few places i'd gotten quotes from over the phone (by a fair bit). Ah cool, I had a poor experience with Tynan. Everyone's experience is diffe...

My VRX is an MY09 2.4 4B12 Manual VIN is JMFSNCY5A9UXXXXXX Help at all?? Well at least I'm not going nuts when I said I know they used to be CY5A on the VRX. That tells me it's a manual sedan MY2009. :) My VRX by the way is a 2L which is why I think the 2L have a 4 not 5 Well that's what I would've...

Hmm. I always thought that CY4A is the build type for all Lancers including ralliart and CZ4A is the EvoX. That's how the japanese differentiate the lancers. CY4A or Galant Fortis, CZ4A or EvolutionX. The only CY5A I know of, are the LancerEX that is for China. You sure you have seen VRX with CY5A?...

Good work mate.... the reason they were quick is because this weekend just gone was the last weekend of this month. They were probably desperate for some written sales figures, and it puts them 1 car up for next months delivered sales!! And also end of quarter, which for some accentuates the need t...

Help! New car VIN question

I was wondering if any one can shed any light the Mitsubishi VIN. I'm a bit concerned about a subtle difference. I've ordered a MY10 CVT Sedan VRX and the VIN just doesn't look right. Usually the VRXs are "STCY5" and the VR & ES "STCY4" (at least from what I have seen). My ne...

Ah I know the one at Pennant Hills (Alto) been talking to them about an MY10 VRX - they seemed okay on price, but you can work it harder. I don't think they can compete with the pricing I'm getting. Haven't asked yet. :) The ones a Baulkham Hills/Castle Hill (Heartland) are good blokes but don't see...

Stronger or flimsier? I'm going down the MY10 path, but would like to know about this bit.

Crappy woodgrain trim, looks so wrong. Couldn't agree more, *Boo* *Hiss* to woodgrain trim. But didn't blue actually overtake red in the popularity stakes - be an individual and go with mystic blue! Woograin is for oldies and normal run of the mill pansy phags. I agree *boo hiss* for woody ingrain ...
